The thing that you need to remember is that we all know that Kafka is a human who became a kaiju and kept his human mind. The Defense Force just knows that there is a very powerful Kaiju (#9) who can shapeshift into a human, which means that others might have the same ability. Basically, at this point, they don't know if Kafka is Kafka, or a Kaiju who ate him and took his form to infiltrate their organization.

Man, I was waiting for Kafka to step in to help the Vice Captain like SEVEN times this episode but Hoshina kept it pushing 😂they really defied my expectations for how the story planning was gonna go. It was a nice twist that out of all the things that could have pushed Kafka to transform, it was the most unexpected thing (while also laying the groundwork with the bombs being shown prior)

i have teory about kafka only have 1% power in human form but 9,8 magnitude in kaiju form , why kaiju monster pick kafka at the first episode , prob kafka is 99% power user man , and the kaiju form literalty take all 98% power and translate to 9,8 magnitude while 1% is in human form , and the body suit have same similarity in power form because body suit made form kaiju to

I had similar theory along the lines that the suit percentage is how much power you draw from it. But Kafka is alrea Kaiju so there is never a point where drawing power from the suit ends up being an enhancement. So 1% is all he gets from it

I agree with Lee, a hard fight definitely makes it feel more worth it. When I was 15 years old my Rockets on the back of Hakeem Olajuwon took a 6th seeded team all the way to a championship. We were underdogs in every series ending with a 7 game series against the NY Knicks. The next season we also won the championship but we swept the young Orlando Magic with Shaq and Penny Hardaway. I love anime that don't solely rely on the main character to carry everybody. It's okay to have some support cast, able to do things on their own. That's why I love Kakashi, and Sukamaru. Naruto is fine, but if you're going to put the MC in a team, I don't want to feel like one person would want to work. It makes the 'team' pointless. Other series don't get it.

And... what would they do? They're got multiple squads there and a lot of questions. Even if they believe in him, word is going to get out at this point. They can't just NOT explain the massive explosion over the base, for one.
