Fun Fact: Bleach was suppose to be an Old Western anime called "Snipe" where all the shinigamis used guns instead of swords except Rukia who used a scythe (like a traditional grim reaper), also Staark's and Rukia's designs were the only ones to change very little from their original concepts...some claim that Staark was OG ichigo, but i havent found anything to support that claim...

Remember that bankai are supposed to be a shikai's power to the maximum upgrade. Soi Fon's Suzumebachi is a double tap insta kill. What would be better than that? A SINGLE TAP INSTA KILL

Omaeda is from a rich noble house and his father used to be a lieutenant under Yoruichi when she was a captain. So, Soifon basically has to deal with him and can't just expell him from the squad. The thing with Omaeda is that he's got potential to be better but chooses to spend his work-free time eating and sleeping. And Soifon doesn't have time to babysit him since she's got duties of both Squad 2 and a Stealth Force. As a result - complete discord.

Actually, Yumichika’s flower ability is actually his shikai, not Bankai. Remember, he did the whole thing with saying the wrong name to make his zanpakuto sulk and not awaken properly to hide its true ability. But imagine how cool his Bankai could be if that was his shikai.

No Shikai or Bankai ability are unrelated. Soi Fon's Shikai has the ability kill in two strikes. Her Bankai has the ability to kill in one.

Barragan might not be the "strongest" Espada, but his ability is 100% OP. NOTHING in the series can stop it. So even though he doesn't have as much power as Starrk, Aizen, and others, he can theoretically beat anybody.

The only weakness is that is still a reiatsu based ability so someone with a higher reiatsu would theoretically be imune to it just like Aizen was imune to Suzumebachi's death tap. That would explain how Barragan has never been able to defeat Aizen in this whole time

It's funny. On one level, Ichigo and Soi Fon would become FAR more lethal if they swapped bankai--she would gain unbelievable speed, strength, endurance, and resistance, while he would basically get a nuke. Of course, this wouldn't work, as Ichigo's bankai would crush every bone in Soi Fon's body in seconds (his bankai is among the most stressful on the user of any bankai, and he can only use it properly because he's a freak of nature), and Ichigo's nuke would wipe out entire cities, and so couldn't be used.

That is why he was slowing down--he wasn't used to his own powers and they were causing his body to damage itself. Soi Fon doesn't have Ichigo's unique body, and so it would likely kill her in minutes. There is another zanpakuto with a similar downside, but I can't say which without spoilers. SPOILER BELOW Kenpachi's bankai is similar in that it provides so much raw power that it will rip his body apart if he uses it without practice. His is based on strength and cutting power, while Ichigo's is on speed and maneuverability. It's another sword that would immediately kill 99% of soul reapers who tried to use its powers, just by overtaxing their body.

Yet it is technically still in line with her skill set. She is an assassin. Her shikai is the old silent up close and person style. Her Bankai is the modern style where high priority targets are eliminated with predator missiles

Yeah I mean at least for me it's the worst but not because is bad, it just isn't as fire as the other bankais around. I get that many Captains have that single target Shikai - Multiple target Bankai dynamic but I feel like her Bankai should be more developed to be like a far ranged air strike that would be more in line with assasionation instead of a "close" missile like it is. That would make the weight and the slowness a less pressing issue as she could be sending air strikes from far away like one of those military missile strikes. Tho it wouldn't be graphic to see in a fighting anime so I guess we will never see that lol

It wouldn't make it more powerful because you aren't injecting energy into the reaction, your just making it faster. The explosion would expand faster but the energy of the explosion would also be dissipating faster so the overall result would be the same amount of total energy

So if he uses his aging power on the explosion, but not himself, then all he is doing is compressing the remaining energy of the explosion so that it all hits him at once. True, there isn't more energy, but the energy that is there is more compact and will therefor hit harder.
