Fun fact about the animation of this show: it came out in 2011. In an era where they didn't release shonen anime like this in seasons. It was a weekly show so the crunch for the animation team must've been crazy. Yet they still managed to keep it in a consistent quality throughout, with points along the way with some impressive animation and art. It was during the height of Madhouse.

After watching this for the 100th time I finally notice all the clues about the difference in there power. Hisoka could pull gon in with a flick of his finger, while gon is using his legs to push back. A kick with little nen sent the tile flying. He is using like 1% of his power. Those who have red the manga understand how powerful Hisoka really is.

This is where HxH came onto my radar. It was 2012 and I came across a ''best animated fights of the year'' video. It had this fight in it and I clearly remember skipping through it because I didn't want to spoil myself. I remember really liking the sweat drops floating in the air when Gon got hit. However, it took me all the way to 2014 to finally actually watch the series. People were hyping it up a lot as well and it got me curious. Actually watching it turned out being a great decision. HxH seriously changed my way of thinking about stories in general.

The HXH manga released in 98 and Naruto manga released in 99. Any similarities are coincidental. Most of the lore used in anime’s are based on Japanese folklore and the Ki, Chi, Chakra, Nen, Riatsu are all based on principles of inner power and being able to unlock and harness that power.
