There's quite a few theories on why Rem and Otto were left out of the tome of wisdom. One of them is that Pandora altered reality and made them come into the world when they weren't supposed to. Hector is the warlock (male form of witch) of melancholy. Melancholy was one of the original 9 deadly sins, but got rolled into sloth later. The other cut sin is vainglory, which got rolled into pride. In Re Zero, the main seven sins are the big focus but the 2 archaic sins also have corresponding witch’s (Pandora and Hector) and both are rather mysterious.
