For the career stuff this episode you have to remember this a western system. As an Asian student you are doing more advanced curriculum at a younger age. Their middle school is our high school generally speaking, maybe slightly above that. Choosing a high school is like choosing college. You have to study and prepare for months just for entrance exams. And because of Asian culture, the likelihood that you don't know what you are going to do is very unlikely. Your family will be preparing you and putting pressure on you for a particular field or occupation. So you'd definitely know by the end of middle school what you're potential pathways are and would've started preparing for it. Mob doesn't know because his emotions are always suppressed because he can't control them. So he doesn't get much opportunity to find his interests especially since he spends too much time at his part time job. His parents are oddly lax and for Japanese parents. They don't even seem to work are at home quite often unlike a lot Asian parents. That's the jist

Im in AP World History, Honors English, Honors Math, and AP Bio and the only real "difficult" part is the shit ton of work that they just throw at you. The work itself is easy, its just a lazy way of calling something "honors" in my opinion.

I feel that this episode was trying to draw attention to the idea that we give a certain type of power to the things we believe in, like with the cursed doll and the smoke ghost. Even the giant broccoli and the camera girls belief in mob being “divine” kind of play on this idea. I feel that mob psycho loves to hide themes like that in each of its episodes, since they will probably become important later in the season, so look out 👀

I am absolutely here for more Mob. What some people don't necessarily pick up on is in the flashback, Reigen is smoking. After Mob started, Reigen quit. That's a real homie and mentor right there. Shows how much they kind of need each other, and how how they're rubbing off on one another.
