I love Croatia so much!! First time I visited the country I was 8 months old. Being a 38 years old Belgian, I proudly say I visited Croatia for 35 times with campervan and car (with tent). Went to lots of places and the country is as beautiful at sea as in the water. It would be literally months if I add up the time I spent in Rovinj and actually spent as much time in Poreč as in Rovinj. But since I went to Supetar on Otok Brač, I fell in love with this town and the entire Island. For a few years now my dream is to move and become a part of the lovely community of Brač. If you ever feel like making a road trip in Croatia, would gladly give you some pointers on nice places to visit. It definitely would be blast to travel in your Defender! Thanks for the beautiful content! Would love to see more of South Africa, and please don't forget the local cuisine ;)

In some places in Croatia, the water is so pure and clear, it feels like there is nothing between you and the sea bed several meters down. :) BEST SEA EVER!

Its been really wonderful watching you sail around the very islands i sail on every day. I can tell you, even with a 15 meter/47ft sailboat, theese places arent even scratching the surface. On every island around split there is a nice sandy beach, or more that you can anchor on, and tie off stern to the rocks, and sleep trough the night. Thats what i love to do. Sleep in a sandy bay, and early in the morning, 7-9am, into the next sandy bay, anchor, tie to the rocks, lunch, dinner, then basicly rinse and repeat. Thats how we spend our summer holidays in Split.

Remember going here as yacht crew in 1990. Worked through YPI at the time. A van lent yacht called Carmenta. Great life, but really hard work.

Been to all these spots when I was a nurse/stew, Croatia was my favorite country by far, we were lucky to be docked there for 5 months over the winter. Also, Montenegro is it's own country, not part of Croatia! Thanks for bringing back some of the best memories of my life!

Haha, spending all of my vacations on a sailboat in Croatia in the 80's and 90's I was shocked to see Zut and how it's grown... I remember it as a small marina with only an office and a restaurant what only had 'fish or meat' on the menu... Absolutely right about Rovinje it's wonderful! Other of my favourite places in Croatia are Zadar, Dubrovnik, and the isles Telascica, Smocvika Vela, Susak, Mali Losjin and Silba...

Last year, I sailed in Croatia with a sailing boat with friends. Croatia is absolutely stunning and magical! One of the best holidays for sure! (Btw, been to South-Africa as well which is also incredibly beautiful)

@@jaredwatney A couple questions concerning your gear. Do you prefer the DJI Mavic Mini compared to the DJI Mavic Air 2? If so, why or why not? Also, your camera work with the "Invis stick" that is a "Insta360 ONE X 360 Camera" why do you use this instead of the GoPro Fushion? The Insta ONE X has poor reviews in comparison to the fusion. I am asking these things because I am thinking of buying a drone and am leaning towards the new DJI Mavic Air 2 that releases in May and has 42MB pictures and can fly up to 44mph in S mode with 34 minute flight time, also has more features including follow me and go home (along with many more features)

You are so lucky to visit Croatia (my home country), you need to visit islands Cres and Lošinj for me this is two most beautiful islands in Croatia. But also you need to see some inlands places like Plitvice national park or to visit Slavonia and try our local food. Be safe!

I spent a holiday with good friends of mine on a beautiful Hanse sailing yacht in Croatia last summer, just after I got my sailing license! Best holiday I‘ve had so far, Croatia is amazing! Have you seen the ww2 submarine facility when you were in Kornati national park? We went there for a dive.

Dude!, I subscribe to dozens of sites and get daily emails on new uploads and now I screen my messages and eliminate ones that are much longer than 10 minutes. Anyway I anguished weather to delete it or not. Then I remembered you're a home boy. Anyway I watched it and was amazed. Just fantastic, your drone footage is phenomenal. Great video! I spent two months travelling around Croatia and Bosnia, they have some lovely unspoilt spots now that they have started to recover from the war but haven’t yet hit mass tourism like places in Greece. In terms of yachting the island of Hvar just off mainland Croatia is a lovely place for boats and has some lovely beaches too. There are lots of other smaller little islands dotted around which you can take a water taxi across or yacht Would highly recommend

if you´r in Rovinj you should go out to a camp place called Polaris. There is a restaurant nearby with the name barbadanilo. The hands down best food i got in my 45 years of living.... I will wake up at night with a craving for this place..

We go there every summer , just a short sail from italy :). We are big fan of the istrian and dalmatian coast and islands . BTW ROVIGNO is the name of the last place, we where at exactly the same spot with our boat last june.

Only place I visited in the Adriatic was Koper, Slovenia (in October). Nice place, would like to visit again. Would like to visit all of these places sometime! Question: Most of your yachting videos is about activities on the yacht (water toys or the dining onboard). But do some charters like to go ashore and walk around some of the ports you pull into? Sample local food? (No offense to Chef's Dean and Nina!!)

We are hopefully going to Croatia in August. I'm kind of lining up the trip now, assuming travel is possible. Catamaran or single hull sailboat for a family of five? I can't sail so we'll be hiring a skipper. The cats I'm looking at are about 40'. The single hulls about 50'. Any advice? Great video. I noticed few of the sailboats ever seem to have their sails up.

Such a good question. On Arience I was on the boat every night except for a 30 day holiday. In 11 months 😲 On Yacht I - probably about 160 days.

Thanks for the vid. Can I ask you opinion on something? I may be in the market of buying a yacht in 2021 or 2022. I know yachts are just being made bigger and bigger. What size yachts do you feel most ports would not have problem with? I want something in the 45 to 50 meter range

Hi Tim Thats the perfect size in my opinion. If you go under 50m and under 500gross tons, you will have less formalities to deal with as well.
