Not an owner (actually just starting my research into possibly selling the house and going live aboard full time), but for MY needs I'm thinking a Lagoon will be in my future. Mostly due to space per foot of length. It's just two of us, so more than likely looking at around 40' in length. Hopefully an owners model...

@@YachtHunter From the three major brands, do you have data on avg length of ownership, and could you provide more detail as to the % discount from listing price based on location of sale and versus age of boat at time of sale, engine hours at time of sale and whether owners version or not? Yeah, I know ... putting your statistical analysis skills to work :) Have reason to suspect that location impacts, age impacts, and use (engine hours or Owners version) impacts too. Last question (for today) ... in priority order, what brands do you believe offer best value for money (and to make it easier, say in the 45-50 ' cat range).

Rather nasty accusation on the broader broker community. Surely not acceptable to the code of conduct, suggesting boats are deliberately overpriced by the Broker to both achieve the listing and higher commission. Many owners have an emotional value of the boat and that tends to set the asking price. If the owner is swayed to list with a broker that over-values the boat to secure the listing, the owner deserves waiting to get a market valued offer.

I see it in real estate all the time. It is in part primarily to get the deal from the client (ohh, I'll get you $1MM!) along with pandering to what the owner wants, and part over confidence in what they can bring the deal in for. Nothing unethical and he pointed out in his own video that listing prices are 7%+ over actual selling.

Larry I agree, it is always the fragile fools and oafish clowns that need to talk shit and belittle people (in this case, other brokers) all in a sad and desperate attempt just so they might deem themselves 'better than' others. Typical sneaky snake salesman this guy. ooof yikes WARNING TO ALL -stay far away from this toxic sales rep
