Pure beauty. Once you go full carbon you could never go back. It’s similar to oled vs tft screens on a laptop.

Wow, basically £1.25M for a 43' weekend cruiser/racer. I imagine a small market for such a thing, no matter how well made it is.
@thomasstuder16247 ай бұрын
This isn't even a weekender. If you can spend that kind of money on a 43, you're back at port for a fine dinner and king size bed, not spending it with your crew on a boat without cabins. This will appeal to a very small niche.
@deankruse28913 ай бұрын
Sailing a large exceptionally light and stiff boat is worth the price tag. Hard to find a boat of that length that can be crewed by 1 or 2 with that kind of performance.

"Wow, this Ferrari is more expensive and less practical than my Toyota, I can't imagine this Ferrari thing got a huge audience". It all depends on what you compare it to.

@@toggtlas7099 You can buy a cape 31 and a Beneteau 46/51 footer for this price. The cape goes faster than this boat and you can get off it and have aircon and a shower on the mothership

It is certainly a great boat, but as usual scandinavian know how to put a price tag on it. At this price tag, you can get a Grand Soleil 52. Ok it is a different boat, but nevertheless...
@CharlieZenenour3 ай бұрын
much lower quality and made out of grp, not only a different yacht but a completely different experience in regards to maintaining and sailing. the new grand soleli 72 is their best quality yacht yet and the floor is constantly squeaking and creaking, the hull develops cracks, swells from the grp absorption of water and expansion... carbon fiber and glass fiber are completely different experiences. Plus grand soleli is not that much better than other production yachts such as bavaria or bennetua, whoever you'll still pay for it as much as a oyster, contest or garcia.

Great boat, but people with EUR 1.2mio to spend are going to want something bigger. When is the Shogun 63 coming out?

With all that high tech build and carbon (and price) is it actually fast or that much faster than other sporty yachts its size?

Please write back. What's your price for a solo trip around the world without getting hung up on numbers. For a sailboat or catamaran. I must be alone and have a reefed mainsail.

Similar to a Lamborghini, it appears to be more show than function for anything in particular. Like the cabin top… why no nonskid. Similar issue with having hatches from the mast so far forward: those are going to be very slippery! Also, why such a deep keel on something intended to go for a cruise? I understand for racing, but then this is a race boat with too much interior. The galley is L shaped, so not great for offshore use. Storage looks slim inside. Hydrolics aren’t awesome for any kind of extended cruising where they may break. Headroom seems lacking… This is a lot of price for what seems like a try at a sporty cruiser that may not cruise very well, and therefore seems more like a race boat with too much luxury inside. I think this boat would be fun for PHRF racing, but it doesn’t look like that great of a cruising boat.

It's me or 30 bhp engine seems somewhat low for a 43 footer? (Ok, low weight is a factor, but still...)
@MrWaslich7 ай бұрын
for 6.5 tons is more than enough. And the boat is meant to be sailed. It is way faster than the motor.
@alamos87 ай бұрын
@@MrWaslich I was thinking really not abou mooring maneouvers / marina entry-exit, but more about hsving to motor in an emergency with bad sea, strongg wind, maybe even current. I would feel better with a 50-60 bhp, but it is certain that many high-performance saliing yatch have small engines

Exactly! It’ll do a better job at the cross-over between racing and cruising rather than this, which seems to be a bad cruising boat, or a race boat with too much interior.

@@kylem324 3rd boat ... too small, not luxury enough. For these clients it would have to be at >least< 60 feet. Nobody is going to spend that much money on a weekend cruiser which is not really fast nor is luxury.
