I used to listen to home resonance when I discovered it during the most important/terrible/most unique year of my life, when I was extremely depressed, about 5/6 years ago. And because of that, listening to the original is painfully bittersweet, as the years go by, it gets even more hard to listen to the original, knowing how I’m no longer a kid (which is also, bittersweet) I’m so grateful for this version because Instead of that upsetting feeling, this version feels so alive, like the sun rising. I can listen to the song in a new way, uhm yeah I’m just super grateful for that. Doubt anyone will relate to this but, maybe.

When I first listened to this song, so sometime around late June of last year, I started feeling genuine depression for the first time. Since then, I spiraled into a series of manic/depressive episodes and even thought of taking my own life and going through it one day. Yet, despite the tragedy and trial I faced, this song always made my day. I love it when creators put raw emotion into song. I feel so...free? Safe? Elevated by heaven's demanding tranquility. I feel like a hero in a story, a never-ending story, a story that tells the journey of a fabled legend. This song, despite the feelings and issues attached to it, makes me feel alive. 😊
