I worked with James & producer Keith Diamond (R.I.P. Keith 1998 & James 2019) on the video for “Always”. He walked the talk. I used to play with James around LA from time to time. We backed up "Oldie" acts mainly, like the Coaster, the Drifters etc. We were in San Francisco and had backed up Little Anthony and the Imperials and James, (Who we never knew could sing!), informed us that he was going to be working with Quincy Jones, and Quincy was going to do a couple of songs he had written. That went well evidently!
