Anyone else been listening to this set of ‘golden pipes’ for nearly 50 years? My brother brought home the album Ambrosia in ‘75. I was blown away by Holdin’ on to Yesterday. What an amazing voice! I can’t believe those years of driving a ‘66 mustang 289 4-speed listening to home made cassette tapes taken from vinyl were almost a half a century ago. I’d go back in a heartbeat. Anyone else? No place like home. “Hey honey, have you seen those ruby slipper lying around anywhere?”
@kittensanddaisies56152 ай бұрын
I'd go back in a heartbeat too. Great times and great music. Been a huge Ambrosia fan since the 70's when i was in high school. When i met my husband in '82, he had a '67 Camaro and we would drive around listening to music for hours. Seems like a lifetime ago.

You don't remember me, but we met years ago when you were backing Michael McDonald, and you came to the Marion Popcorn Festival. Me, my (then) wife and another couple were sneaked in backstage to watch. When Michael went to introduce "the band," and he came to you... he mentioned you were former lead in Ambrosia - and before he could say your name, I yeld out "David Pack!" You looked over at us and I thought we were busted. But you came off stage and after your post-performance cool-down, you came out and spent a few minutes with us. I remember you saying how Columbus, Ohio was a great tour stop for Ambrosia. You were gracious enough to take a picture with us. You even got a scrap piece of paper and had everyone sign it for me - even Michael. All these years later I still have it AND the picture. I love this song, and I wanted to Thank You for your kindness that night all those years ago.

I was a lead singer in bands back in the 70's and 80's. Almost everything we performed was with three part harmonies and it was a joy to feel that feeling when everyone was right in their parts. We never came close to sounding like you guys of course but the music that you David with Ambrosia and of course Michael McDonald with his solo career and with Steely Dan and the Doobie Brothers inspired us to no end. I wasn't that familiar with James Ingram but I love this song and understan the kinship that you had with him was deep. Thank you for the music David Pack, You are an Icon with a one of a kind voice.

Stuck here because of the virus. Hopefully, I'll be home back in Jamaica. I vacationed here for a few years now and I can't believe I miss Ambrosia in Ocala. I use to say "Angelic Voices". I Really REALLY LOVE this Song... there's so much to say but i'll try make it short... Everytime i hear this song, it brings back high school/college memories with my Buddies.. During our high school/college days We love listening to this song (Cassette tapes & CD) and a bunch of James Ingrams' songs while cruisin... Then after a few years i became a Professional Singer in a band performing in Bars & Hotels (Philippines & Dubai) i was imagining myself & my band singing this song because its one of my favorites, but i was afraid that i and my band would not give it Justice.. i mean, we were afraid that we may not sing the song as near as how they sound.. (i hope u get what i mean) haha... my band played for 20 years here & there, but we never had a chance and the pleasure of singing this song.. so much RESPECT for this song.. Thanks to the three of you guys for sharing this song to us (the world) Its me ivan russel from the Philippines
