Italy for some things is surreal, we are sooo happy you had the resiliency mixed with the true artistic seriousness; it is refreshing and inspiring for many in Italy. I am a voice specialist with an innovative technique with constant career and medical objective confirmations. So everybody happy to have a new advanced safe tool to develop/train and even heal voices? So naive, my students and clients were flourishing, winning, be contacted from Miami to collaborate, nodules and chronic conditions disappeared in few weeks and months. The environment just tried to steal, to badmouth etc. I studied the biomechanics required to explain the reason of my results and in less than 12 months and my rationale has been accepted to be presented in one oral presentation, two workshops and next spring in three more abstracts at the two of three most important Conferences on Voice in the world. We get resilient if not crushed, but you are a great refresh and inspiration for many good young musicians in Italy and not only there, and so impressed and enjoying how much you are musically growing and growing. Best and you are to be here for the time ✨💫💫

I'm somewhat surprised Damiano said it's easier to write in English than Italian. The reason being that some artists that don't sing in English tend to judge themselves because they don't want to sound ridiculous.
@alemassa66322 жыл бұрын
Maybe because English is more easy than Italian.
@valwillham792 жыл бұрын
Something I've noticed about Italian music in general is that the lyrics tend to be more poetic that English (obviously this is true of Maneskin but i also think more broadly in the Italian music scene) so i wouldn't be surprised if that's more pressure too. I think English has more to be ridiculous (based on artistic norms anyways)
@annarae23962 жыл бұрын
I heard him say once that because pronunciation isn't as important in English it is easier for words to flow, Italian is very strict with grammar and pronunciation. And as he said there is less pressure for it to be poetic, which is obvious in the simplicity of their English lyrics compared to the Italian.
@helenminnes34492 жыл бұрын
I understand what he means. I am Dutch, but have lived in an English-speaking country for over 30 years. I can easily listen to superficial la-di-dah lyrics in English, but if I listen to something in Dutch and it is not perfect I would think, "What is this rubbish?" and wouldn't enjoy it.
@sandraperlstein792 жыл бұрын
@@alemassa6632 Not at all. Italian is phonetic whereas English is not. I took English in school and trust me even as an English speaker it wasn't easy. People who speak English still make mistakes when it comes to spelling and grammar.
