Lol times changes, he is shitting on retail investors. Why isn’t he mad at the hedge funds or hell the real culprits, congress who allowed shorting 140% to be “legal”. @@ChronicChess Naked shorting is illegal. Hedge funds aren't responsible, brokers and investment banks are. The only people who committed a legit crime during the whole GME debacle were the brokers. Hedge funds are generally a positive form of capitalism. Losses are absorbed by investors, and public bailouts are not considered.

@@ChronicChess His statement wasnt wrong. I think you and Munger are making different arguments. Munger is under the assumption that retail traders are mad that they lost money, when that is nothing further from the truth. He is concerned that retail investors have turned the stock market into a slot machine where people aren't concerned with making money (this is actually really bad for the US investment market, since capital isn't directed to the highest returning asset but towards memes). Not necessarily the end of the world, but far from ideal.

@@bokuden693gamblers yes. But not all the robinhood crowd are gamblers. Also the erroneous believe that you pay for the trade anyways because you are getting a worst price for a stock is so nonsense. Not paying commission allows you to buy it at the price you selected. All u have to do is be a few cents more patient b4 jumping the gun. But I. Ever worry about it because I always get the price I select with a limit order. With commission trades u pay no matter what. I am not a professional. It have learned as I go with rh and my investment has improved tremendously specifically by not having commissions. 20 minutes in. SPAC’s - I think the investor shirt lifting CCIV LUCID valuation debacle doesn’t bode well for the future of SPAC’s . They may well only value on intrinsic value from now on - ie usually $10 until they actually have a product or deal
@abbottmd
@abbottmd 3 жыл бұрын
they actually should trade for LESS than $10 due to the underwriting fee and the management fees (and possibly a discount for risk of a bad deal). Their NAV starts out below $10 starting on day 1.

The world is changing. The people have options that don't involve centralized banking. 3rd gen crypto is going to decentralize the internet and financing as a whole. Boomers will be left in the dust. The millennials and gen z will be fully on board with this. They will make up 78% of the workforce very very soon. Boomers are all retiring soon. This will be the future whether you all want it or not, you won't be consulted about this. The tcp/ip internet protocol and centralized servers are simply outdated and obsolete and very very very very very very unsecure. We know this, we also actually understand this on a level you simply apparently refuse to acknowledge. You could even say we overstand it. You guys don't, like at all, ignorance is okay guys. But denial of willingness to understand when confronted by your ignorance is not. You need to learn this, you need to understand the technology at least at a basic level. I understand your overall reluctance to it and even fear, apathy, lethargy, and hatred of it. But it's going to be better and it will happen. Check out what cardano and polka dot are. Do your research. There are many youtube videos explaining simply what they are. Do your due diligence. The gmestonk thing is proof your system is a rigged unsecure game controlled by .0000001% of the world's population. And we don't have trust in the system whatsoever on every single level. That's why an encrypted, decentralized, secure internet with open source protocols that are unhackable, yes crypto currency will be the future unequivocally. Unless you die within the next 10 years, you can't really afford to ignore this stuff guys. You will see the people using a system and not caring what your .000001% ultrawealthy believe their fiat is worth. Y'all can exchange your paper money with each other, we won't care, we will not need to not want to participate, we will be using a new internet. You can get scammed on facebook, have fun... The rest of us will be trading our ada and dot, buying and selling on the new internet. Fiat money only means something because the people as a whole that believe it equals something of value. It's a social societal construct and contract. We have smarter contracts than that now lol pun you don't understand is intended lol. Something has value because society agrees it has value. What happens when most people think it's worthless inflationary paper printed garbage and that 80% of the wealth is in the hands of 1% and simply put, this game of monopoly is over and we aren't just going to keep hoping we can pass just pass go again and not go bankrupt every month? Naw, were gonna start our own game that isn't a rigged game that only the bankers win. Have fun with one. This system is no longer serving anyone. It's only turning everyone into servants of the 1%... See 3rd level crypto is a deflationary model. It cuts out all the middle men as well. It gives everyone full secure control of their information and currency. It removes the unsecure 90's internet protocols that were still using today for some stupid reason. It makes it all open source and encrypted and decentralized, yet each individual has 100% control of their own information and currency. It also will easily allow integration with governance. It allows for easier and faster more secure everything. Literally everything. Alits all peer reviewed by the best of people from around the world in multiple fields. This will be the future whether you like it or not. There's already a nation state that's going to be going to use cardano. Also Africa in the next few years. This will steamroll to a billion users before you know it. There are 1.7ish billion unbaked people on the planet. The younger generations that have spent their life feeling more connected to each other than to the boomers running their respective countries... This will not go away. It's attractive to businesses, governments, and most importantly, the people. Crypto is the future. It's the internet 4.2 lol and y'all like b b b b but the (new) internet is dumb (again). No one is going to use it! I guess tl;dr OK BOOMER
