I know i'm a year and a half late to this, but to anyone who's curious. the whole "Taraban homeworld being Tarabis 6" thing is based on a planet naming scheme where the planets are named after their star, and what numbered planet from it they are. ie, Tarabis 6 is the 6th planet in the Tarabis System, or the 6th planet from the star Tarabis. So Earth would be either Sol 4 or Sun 4. Really, some variation of the words for the sun.

Actually Poacher is pretty good. The Art of Theft was nifty when it came about. Since his graphic artist skills have improved along with his coding if he made another adventure game it'd probably be the best he's ever done in the genre. Rememer whilst development has gotten harder in some areas most developers have been in the loop for a long time and at least have been somewhat able to keep up with the curve, Yahtzee included.

I'm not saying he's some perfect artist, or a perfect developer... He's a hobby developer and he releases his games for free. That's pretty good for someone who makes freeware games as side hobby. Someone who also posts a Let's play video once a week, reviews a video game once a week, has writen two novels, is working on a third, and has a weekly colum to write. Now I don't see you posting things you made on KidPix, which I assume is pretty user friendly and detailed. The art assets for Rob Blanc were made in paint, which does make them fairly impressive for something made like 16 years ago by a 16/17 year old. I also don't see you posting any games that you made totally by yourself. Yet you sit there talking shit about someone who's actually showing their work and lamenting it... Actually stating how much he hates work he did earlier in his life, because of it's poor quality. So I can only conclude you're in one of three catagories: You're massively jealous of Yahtzee's success and are trying to take him down a peg, or you're a complete idiot, or you're just trolling for your own amusement. Possibly some combination of the three.

The type of form they take varries vastly based on region and watery environment. For instance in some locals River Kappa are depicted as adolecents with what look like cracked river stones covering the tops of their heads, while swamp ones are much more animalistic and turtle like in apparence.

For anyone interested I put together a Windows 95 image for VirtualBox with all of Yahtzee's old adventure games (including that Arthur Yahtzee Visual Basic 3 goodness). Download: www.mediafire.com/download/aaqgpv8zqybxxcy/Yahtzee95.rar All you have to do is extract it with WinRAR (other archive extractors are available), download and install VirtualBox, create a new machine with version set as Windows 95, then for a hard drive browse for an existing virtual hard drive and select Yahtzee95.img. Then under Settings->System->Acceleration disable the hardware virtualization (Windows 95 doesn't like it) and under Settings->Audio set the Audio Controller to ICH AC97 (default sound didn't want to work properly). If all goes well then everything should run properly at more or less full speed (depending on your system).
