People who support Sinwar: 1- are Islamic Extremists, 2- supports Hezzbolah, Hamas and the IRGC (The Occupying force in Iran) #FreePersia 3- supports violent terrorism by Islamic Extremists ( do not support moderate Islam) 4-Enable the oppression of Lebanese, Egyptian, Syrian, Yemenis and Persians by the colonial and imperial Arab Muslims 5- Enables the IRGC's occupation of Iran and imperial goals to colonize the middle east and beyond it's absolutely incomprehensible to support UNIFIL and UNRWA actions over the last decade. Thanks to his so-called struggle for freedom, Gaza looks now as it looks, thousands of innocent people have died and the situation of the Palestinians has deteriorated extremely. While Israel is ruled by hawkish hardliners who consider military goals more important than hostage deals and nobody wants to take in even the most vulnerable refugees. Even those who actually have somewhere to go are only allowed through Egypt after paying horrendous bribes. In fact, it is worse than ever before. Much worse. Although the development was very positive in the summer of 2023, a potential economic boom and an end to the blockade were actually within reach. Maybe for the first time since 2007. "Hamas, the Islamist Palestinian movement which runs the Gaza Strip, said it would allow in principle the Fatah-led Palestinian Authority to develop the natural gas field off the coastal enclave... In return, Hamas would receive a share of the revenues, but it is not clear what guarantees Israel is demanding, which could complicate a deal... In an effort to alleviate the impact of Israeli wars and the blockade, the source said, "our Egyptian brothers have proposed improving the economic situation in both Gaza and the West Bank...and exerted pressure on the Israeli occupation to grant us (Palestinians) the opportunity to develop our offshore gas resources"." web.archive.org/web/20230802203012/www.newarab.com/news/exclusive-hamas-allows-development-gas-field-gaza

So this man was born in a refugee camp within Gaza, which implies his family once lived within what is now the official borders of Israel. This man was 62 years old, and the video shows one of their hi-tech hell machines entering a residential building on an upper floor through a blown out wall to find him sitting there with keffieyeh, military garb, and a blown off arm. In a final act of defiance he uses his remaining arm to throw a stick at it, and the drone actually tries to duck out of the way. This Hollywood style ending showing a courageous and determined man was leaked by some over eager IDF guy? They are truly an undisciplined and sloppy military. We already knew that from their whole genre of lingerie tiktoks, from the report of one IDF commander who abducted a female toddler from Gaza last year, and from the incident where one of their tanks was taking pot shots at random buildings and set off a ‘chain reaction’ that doomed 13 of their soldiers. We already knew they were very undisciplined, but this takes the cake. They are so giddy at everything destructive they do that they just can’t help themselves. Just like in that film Tantura, where the 80 year old men are smiling while describing what they did to villagers back in 1948. All the human suffering they cause is something they’re proud of.

This shows that Sinwar was not the day-to-day leader of the resistance. If he were, he would be confined to his office, busy answering questions and giving orders to his fighters. Instead, he’s out on the front lines, risking his life. Sinwar wouldn’t have taken such a risk unless he was confident that a capable, trustworthy, and well-informed military leadership was managing the resistance operations in Gaza. Yahya Sinwar appears to have been martyred Wednesday (10/16/2024) on the front lines, above ground, alongside his soldiers, wearing his combat vest and with weapon in hand, fighting until his last breath in a firefight against “Israeli” occupation forces. The invading enemy appears to have confirmed his martyrdom on Thursday (10/17/2024), including that by their own admission he went down fighting until the last moment, even after being grievously wounded. He did not run, he did not hide, and met his end like a true soldier of his people, on his own native soil, fighting the foreign enemy’s invading forces, until he breathed his last and was granted martyrdom by Allah-the One True God and the Creator, Sustainer, and Legislator of all that exists.

You seem to have missed the part where even Israeli eye-witnesses admitted in Israeli news media that Yahya Sinwar and his comrades had ambushed an Israeli patrol. You also seem to have missed the part where Yahya Sinwar, after entering the house where he was eventually killed in action, and even after suffering the aforementioned grievous wounds to his legs and right arm from tank fire and antitank missile fire, threw grenades against the Israeli infantry that tried to storm the house, wounding one of the Israeli combatants, and forcing them to withdraw. That’s when they sent in their drone (at which Sinwar flung a stick using his left arm, nearly knocking it out of the air), confirming his location, and capturing the images of the wounded but defiant Sinwar sitting in that armchair. At that point, the Israeli combatants were still too afraid to storm the house a second time, and called on further tank shell fire that further blasted the nearly collapsing building, and finally martyred Sinwar. It was an epic combat performance by the 62+ year old Yahya Sinwar, by the Israeli combatants’ own admissions to their own national media. Israel killed Sinwar by accident. Only after the soldiers suspected that it was Sinwar, his body was transferred for an examination which verified that it was Sinwar. Sinwar was killed when he came out of the tunnel to breathe some air, and there the drone saw him, after which the tank's shell hit him. Money, a gun and fake passports were found with him suspected planning to flee through Cairo to Teheran. That's not how heroes die.

A fleeing man would have sat on the floor begging for mercy and giving up. He did not, never hesitated. He could have left before the war, when it was easier, he didnt, instead he wrapped his arm with wire to stop the bleeding and fought to the end

@@Ryuk-apples - - - Begging who? He had no one to beg! At first he was hit by a tank shell explosion that hit the house where he was hiding. His right hand was severely injured, he went into an internal shock, having difficulty functioning. Later he was identified as a terrorist, by the IDF sniper who shot him from a distance of 100 meters. He was just hurt, exhausted, and had trouble moving. He tied his arm with a string because he didn't want to die. Doctors later said that even tying his hand would not have saved him in the end if he had not been taken immediately to medical treatment. Sinwar was in a semi-coma, it took him 2 minutes to pick up a wooden rod that was next to him to try and hit a drone that entered the house and filmed it from a close distance, after being hit by the tank. The IDF still did not know that it was Sinwar, because his face was covered with a kaffiyeh. Just for your information. Sinwar left his home and his friends in Hamas and fled with his family about 10 hours before October 7, when he arrived from his emergency shelter. Only a few of his associates knew this. A brave man does not run away from the battle but stands at the head of his men and fights. After Sinwar was killed, the IDF found a briefcase he was carrying containing about $30,000, a gun and several fake passports. He was caught at the last minute before he defected to Egypt, from where he intended to fly to Qatar. This is not a model of a leader and commander, but of a cowardly person who takes care of himself.

Death is inevitable; life, a fleeting breath. But how one chooses to live-and more importantly, how one chooses to meet their end-marks the difference between a life that fades into obscurity and one that echoes through time. A leader's worth is not measured in years or gold, but in the cause they champion and the courage with which they stand in the face of insurmountable odds. Yahya Sinwar, a name that carries weight in the occupied lands of Gaza, chose a path that stands in stark contrast to many modern leaders: a path of defiance, sacrifice, and unwavering commitment to a cause greater than himself. Western narratives and propaganda often paint him as a coward, hiding in tunnels and using civilians as shields. But this picture is as manufactured as it is misleading, crafted to demonize and obscure the true nature of the struggle in Gaza. In reality, Yahya Sinwar chose to stand shoulder to shoulder with his people, facing the enemy in the trenches, not as a commander sending others into danger, but as a fighter willing to pay the price of resistance with his own life. His end in the battlefield has become an enduring symbol, etching his name alongside revolutionaries like Che Guevara, William Wallace, and Bhagat Singh-figures who chose the difficult, but honorable path of standing up against oppression. Yahya Sinwar's life was not that of a politician content with titles and luxury. It was the life of a man born into the relentless reality of occupation, a man shaped by the suffering of his people. From his early days as a leader in the Palestinian resistance, he understood that freedom comes at a cost, and that liberation is never handed to the oppressed. His commitment to the Palestinian struggle was unyielding, refusing to bow to pressure or threats, even when his life and those of his loved ones were at stake. His detractors in the West label him a terrorist, a leader of Hamas who threatens Israel’s existence. But this label overlooks the reality of life under siege, the systemic oppression of an entire population, and the denial of their basic human rights. It ignores the daily suffering of Palestinians whose homes are reduced to rubble, whose families are torn apart, and whose very existence is threatened by a military occupation that the world has grown accustomed to ignoring. For Sinwar, the struggle was never about achieving personal power; it was about the dignity of his people, the right to exist, and the hope for a future where Palestinian children could live without the fear of bombs falling from the sky. There are two ways to face the inevitability of death. One can grow old in comfort, counting the days until the final breath, or one can stand in the face of the storm, risking everything for a belief in something greater. Yahya Sinwar chose the latter. Unlike many of his contemporaries who cower behind security details and palaces, Sinwar met his end where he lived his life-on the battlefield, among the people he had sworn to protect. His death was not one of quiet surrender, but of defiance, a final act that became a message to all who would oppress his homeland: *we will not be broken*. This defiance, dying in the line of fire, stands in sharp contrast to the sanitized and comfortable lives of many leaders in the Arab world. Figures like Mohammed bin Salman of Saudi Arabia, Abdel Fattah el-Sisi of Egypt, and King Abdullah of Jordan-though they sit on thrones adorned with gold and wield immense power-remain disconnected from the suffering of the ordinary Arab people. They may bathe in wealth, but their legacy is marked by the abandonment of the Palestinian cause, by complicity with those who oppress their own kin, and by the betrayal of the very values that once united the Arab world. Western media, in its fervor to uphold the interests of its allies, has cast Sinwar as a coward hiding in tunnels, using human shields. But the reality on the ground tells a different story. Sinwar did not hide from the violence that rained down upon Gaza. He did not send others into danger while he remained safe. Instead, he faced the same risks as his people, accepting that the struggle for freedom often demands the ultimate sacrifice. These distortions serve a purpose-to dehumanize the Palestinian resistance, to paint their struggle as terrorism rather than a fight for basic human rights. It allows the narrative of Israel as a victim to thrive, even as it wields one of the most powerful militaries in the world against a largely defenseless population. It allows Western powers to justify their unwavering support for Israeli actions, despite the growing toll of civilian casualties and the humanitarian crisis that has turned Gaza into an open-air prison. But Sinwar’s death has shattered this illusion for many. Images of him standing with his people, of his final moments in the line of fire, have pierced through the propaganda, revealing a leader who embraced the dangers that he asked others to face. His legacy is not one of hiding, but of a leader who fought and fell for the belief that his people deserved to live with dignity. History is unforgiving to those who betray their principles. Today’s kings and presidents may enjoy their power and wealth, but they should remember that power is fleeting, and gold cannot shield one from the judgment of time. While Yahya Sinwar’s name will be remembered by those who value courage and resistance, the names of many Arab leaders will be forgotten, or remembered only as symbols of betrayal. They have chosen to align themselves with the oppressors, abandoning the very cause that once united their nations. In their pursuit of economic deals and political alliances, they have turned a blind eye to the suffering of Palestinians. They have allowed Gaza to burn while they build gleaming skyscrapers, have watched the children of Palestine suffer while they dine with those who supply the weapons of war. They have forgotten that true leadership is measured not by the wealth one accumulates, but by the principles one is willing to fight for. By abandoning the Palestinian cause, these leaders are sowing the seeds of their own downfall. The suffering of Palestine has become a rallying cry for the disenfranchised across the Arab world and beyond. As the world watches the atrocities unfold, the youth are awakening. They see the hypocrisy, they feel the injustice, and they understand that the oppression of one people is a threat to all who believe in freedom. The flames that consume Gaza today are not contained; they threaten to spread, to ignite the fires of resistance in every place where injustice reigns. The world cannot continue to ignore the cries of the oppressed without facing the consequences. History has shown time and again that when people rise, no palace, no army, no amount of wealth can hold back their demand for justice. Yahya Sinwar's defiance will be remembered long after the gold of palaces has faded. He will stand as a symbol of a struggle that refuses to be erased, a reminder that dignity cannot be bought, and freedom cannot be silenced. He may have fallen, but his spirit lives on in every Palestinian who resists, in every child who dreams of a life without occupation, and in every voice that refuses to be silenced by the machinery of propaganda.

But before October 7th there were no IDF troops in Gaza, not even anywhere near Gaza. There also were no settlers. And no homes were bombed or civilians killed by the IDF. And actually, nobody asked civilians in Gaza whether they wanted this war, which has led to such horrendous consequences that ordinary people have to pay the price for. 🤷🏽♂

Interesting what Prof. Tamimi opines. His opinion that Israel is a "colonial" power, and a Nazi power at that seems simplistic and without a future. One could claim against that opinion would be to ask how a "Nazi" colonial power could be the only democratic country in the region. Perhaps those surrounding countries might learn about the values of democracy.
