Got it now, thanks for the video. Install was easy, removing was hard after 1st few trips out. I was NOT taking the top off the base...that was my error. Will do that now. The rod holder itself seems fine. Probably paid way too much for it, but if it does last forever I guess it will be worth it. I really only use it for trolling a bait while paddling long distances between spots.

Can you provide a part number for the track needed? Thank you!

Any of our GearTrac, MightyMount XL, or Mighty Mount will work with the Omega Rod Holder. www.yakattack.us/products/geartrac/

Large enough to use for 25 pound chinook salmon? Thanks

You would be good. If you wanted to beef up the install more you could always use the HD LockNLoad base. It has two points of contact in the track instead of one providing more holding power and distributing the load. www.yakattack.us/hd-mount-locknload-track-base-lnl-1006/

Thanks, but I think I'm gonna stick with Scotty. Its just a lot more rigid and can stand up to the powerful take of the bigger fish. Be well, fish on.
