In this episode we're showing you how to cook up one of the biggest fish on Earth, goliath grouper! We're using every part of the fish to make fish stock for soup, smoking some massive grouper "wings" and serving up the ultimate fried fish recipe using this legendary species.

Amazing that when they get that big the meat is still so white and tender. Doesn't work that way with most fishies. Looks absolutely amazing, everything y'all cooked. Spent some time in the jungle in South Mexico on the beach and we would eat fresh grouper everyday. So damn good

I applaud the respect you gave that fish. Normally, we would never take a fish like that, but your situation is understandable. Just don't make it a habit, or the species could suffer.

They actually opened up a limited harvest for goliath grouper this year in Florida. They're doing a tag system with a slot size. I believe they are allowing about 200 juveniles to be harvested a year. If you want to see a video of this Nick stanzik did a catch and cook with one.

Probably needed a few hours in salt water to get rid of the rest of the blood, but damn...I would LOVE to try that! Ignore the braindead haters. I still laugh at the number of boobs that rage about using electric reels for deep dropping. Obvious they've never tried it. Indeed, would be hilarious to make these fools fish a whole day without them. After the 2nd or 3rd drop they'd be curled up and crying begging to use the electrics.
