Do you still own the Trailer, and how do it perform on the highway? would be mounting 3 kayaks

YES! you will be fine on Forest Service Roads. I'm sure there is an exception somewhere, but, for 99.5% of US Forest Service roads, the trailer will handle them fine with cautious maneuvering over high berms, also, you can get a riser hitch to elevate the ball on your tow vehicle.

Have you taken the trailer "off-road" at all? I'm looking for a trailer to mount my roof-top-tent on. I like the design and, comparatively, lower price compared to something like the Smittybilt Scout off-road trailer. The Smittybilt is overkill for forest roads I'm looking to explore, but I'm concerned the Yakima is at the other end of the spectrum and only designed for paved roads. Your opinion is greatly appreciated.
