Kylaq is clearly so much accessible thanks to the aggressive starting price. And the feature I liked the most is powered driver and passenger seat. That's simply clever. I hope my 5"7" frame can fit inside very well especially in the back seat. This is an impressive job by Skoda altogether, as they really have got something spot on for Indian market.

well i think kausaq was designed to have 1.5 liter engine so they made chases that took like 4 inches extra space length wise.. here they saved that and made boot deep for boot space.. but wheelbase reduced ..by 8.5 cm reduced leg room compared to kausaq..

This is the only car under 15 Lakh which offers features like ventilated and electrically adjustible seats. Also it is going to be one of the safest car in the segment if not the best. The poor guys who bought the 1.0 varients of Kushaq... Edit- Lots of people confused by my comment, let me clarify I am NOT saying that kushaq itself is a completely useless product now, but the lower 1.0 varients might not be that worth it. And no, the same logic doesn't apply with seltos/creta-sonet/venue case because here, you actually have a bigger engine (1.2 na vs 1.5 na), more legroom, more headroom, more shoulder room and most importantly more boot space. Now see Kylaq- kushaq case, same 1.0 engine, a bit more headroom in kushaq (difference of 3 cm), but similar shoulder room (Kylaq is wider than Kushaq) and boot space(Kylaq- 446 Kushaq-385) and kylaq has more Ground clearance, the only major difference is kushaq has around 100 mm legroom more. But its only my opinion, if you like the Kushaq 1.0, go get one, no one will stop you. Though the Slavia 1.0 is personally the better option. People are overstating as if Kylaq is as cramped as a bird cage while the Kushaq has the leg space of a Mercedes s class.

People usually buy a lower model creta, seltos kushaq, grand vitara over venue, sonet, kylaq or brezza for the more added passenger and boot space while sacrificing features but in this case, Kylaq's boot space is pretty huge for the segment, it is taller and actually wider than the kushaq itself and leg room seems adequate enough and is quite feature loaded. Makes the 1.0 varients of kushaq worthless. Only 1.5 varients of Kushaq are worth it.

The reason why other brands are selling their larger then 4m cars in good numbers is .. like for eg.. people go to hyundai showroom to buy a venue or i10.. they look at creta.. increase their budget and go for it.. for vw brands it does not happen as people don't even consider looking for kausaq or taigun for the price point they come in.. with a car in showroom that starts at like Rs 8 lakh exshowroom.. people will actually go to showrooms and then try their higher model cars and might increase their sales overall..

they can compete with better engine, better chassis, better steering and better suspension. Brezza's engine is not great, it's only fuel efficient, and its suspension/comfort is just average in my opinion.

I drove Kushaq's 1.0, Nexon, 3XO - all turbo petrols. 3XO felt like a more upmarket engine. Very refined at high speeds - almost like a Honda 1.5 i-vtech. On practical grounds this wins. Performance & refinement - 3XO and Nexon is an all-rounder here.

@@midhlajap mine is skoda rapid. Reliable car and average annual maintenance is 10k. But the problem is service center people never identify the problem correctly and they never fix it. And I strongly suspect they replace parts. My car never trouble me, I get troubles only after service done.

Wanted kylaq to be the first car in the family, but the leg room in the rear seats is a bummer (Nissan's Magnite offers better leg room). People would've been fine with lesser bootspace than compromising on the leg room. The decision tradeoff doesn't make sense.

legroom depends on wheelbase.. as rear tyres are behind the seats.. so it is 2nd highest wheelbase in category means 2nd highest cabin space..

Indian auto car reviewers keep wofling 90% about things which don't really matter. The shape of the tail light, some little curve on the side, shape of LED light, shape of bonnet and tail gate, then they go inside and go on talking about shape colour of the front panel etc etc etc.They probably think the viewer is blind and needs to be told in detail about the shape size. Come on guys we can see what's there !!!! Talk more about the engine, gear box, safety,tyres, camera, boot space, music system milega, price etc . Things that really matter. All these are covered in the last couple of minutes.😂

Skoda was once considered as a proper premium brand even when they got into the hatchback segment with the fabia but ever since the VW India’s 2.0 strategy & to compete in the Indian market, that premium quotient is falling / declining with every product launch. In fact, in the VW family, Polo (i have been an owner of VW Polo 1.6 Manual) though priced competitive but was always considered premium for the quality but that charm of owning a VW & Skoda is no more. They doing the same mistake what they did with VW Ameo.

I guess this 446 ltrs is by measuring the boot space till the roof for marketing purposes, if they measure it till the parcel tray it will less but a more useable number, I am sure of this beacuse I own a creta which has 433 ltr of boot space it is definetley larger than this.
