@Ysrael Camacho Garcia In all honesty Majima sorta was like a weird teacher in Kiwami 1 since he main goal was helping Kiryu to not only recover his past strength but to also exceed it. I will say if you take Kiryu at his peak level of strength and skill (probably around Yakuza 2, 3 and 4) and put him against majima at his peak (yakuza 0) i think Kiryu still wins. Considering Majima in 0 thinks the idea of fighting a tiger is outright suicide and Kiryu BODIES 2 of them in a weakened state in 2.

Thank you so much for doing this Gunkshot. For all the Kiryu vs Majima content out there, there's surprisingly few videos that puts us in Majima's perspective, despite the potential of mods. Seeing it finally happen is such a welcome sight. I must admit, when I first saw the video in my notifications, I thought the mod would have used Shibusawa as a base, since he has similar styles to Kiryu. I'd forgotten Amon's first phase used Kiryu's Dragon of Dojima moveset.

Considering Majima has such a hard-on for fighting Kiryu in Kiwami to the point there’s a whole ass mechanic about it, I would’ve loved to see their very first fight that made him feel that way. This is probably the closest thing we’ll get to that, and honestly? Not half bad!

This would be such a good final or secret boss. Imagine both majima and kiryu recieve a letter to meet at the place in this video. They both go and meet each other for the first time. Majima still in his transition between his 0 act and mad dog, and kiryu being the one to initiate the fight due to still being fairly hotheaded. You then choose which legend you will follow(play as) And the fight ends with both of them tired and panting with majima being slightly better for wear. They talk about each others power and how they want to fight again sometime. Kiryu turns to leave and majima stands there and says 'see ya again soon, KIRYU CHANN'. Kiryu just smiles and walks away. yes this is my headcannon. Also the letter would be sent by the Amon clan in hopes of one killing the other.

UPDATED Headcanon: this was their first fight. Without counting the majima everywhere system (with the final battle as only exception) because that is more a training these are all their battles First fight after Yakuza 0 ending: Majima won, he was clearly on another level. Kiryu didn't wanna fight him for a reason at the start of Yakuza Kiwami. Second fight after 10 years: Majima wins. Third fight at the bat center: fight was interrupted Fourth fight at Shangri La : Kiryu wins, Majima went real but injured Fifth fight at colisseum: Majima Hannyaman beats you at Komaki's. He also canonically wins since in Yakuza 2 they say no one ever beat him. Sixth fight (Majima Everywhere ending) : Kiryu first canonical win without Majima holding back nor being injured. Seventh fight in Yakuza 2: Kiryu wins Eight fight in Yakuza 3: Kiryu wins Ninth fight in Yakuza 3: Kiryu wins Tenth fight in Yakuza 8: Draw The count is 6 - 4 for Kiryu. Too bad they are too old now and can't be at their prime anymore. Prime Kiryu vs Prime Majima would have been amazing (probably a draw too)

​@@f_.- Lifting power doesn't necessarily equal fighting skills. Majima is not phisically strong as Kiryu but he's more agile, fast and way more durable. Majima was tortured for a whole year without dying, got shot, stabbed and punched to death and he still like "See you later, Kiryu chan!" Yakuza 0 was his peak as a fighter. Just as Yakuza 2 is Kiryu's peak.

I think a climax battle would have suited it best. I think having it normally would be a bit much and cause some confusion since it would imply one was canon over the other, but I think bonus climax battles against one another would have been cool. Just some wild situations with no story context.

very nice and pretty accurate with the 2 power levels. Majima was in his prime in 0 and I think he was superior to Kiryu which would reach his top shape in later chapters. Kiryu doesn't even know the tiger drop in 0 and it was stated pretty clearly that Majima was a beast in this game. Kiryu surpassed Majima only in Kiwami 1 after he returns from the 10 years and with the help of the mad dog of Shimano. Also Kiryu is younger than Majima and it was stated that he had more combat talent but I mean, they are both legends in the yakuza and nothing could surpass Majima in y0 or Kiryu in his prime

Majima managed to fight and defeat Awano who completely no sold an attack from Kiryu after gutting the Dojima family and then fighting Lao Gui, the greatest hit man in all of Asia, on top of that. He even fights and defeats Jo Amon while Kiryu is stuck with fighting the weaker So Amon in 0. A case could be made for Kiryu being stronger in any Yakuza game except for 0, arguing that Kiryu is stronger than Majima in 0 is just silly.
