@YourCrazyDolphin

I'll add on for the wall stuns- any attack that causes the enemy to stumble back initiates this if their back is to a wall. Those attacks being triangle attacks performed under certain conditions (so finishing blows too): Right as they stand back up as shown in the video, but also if you interrupt their attack animation which can happen at random, and if you hit immediately after breaking the opponent's guard. The counter bit happens kinda randomly, but the guard break is notable as there is an upgrade that makes *any* attack break guard if you tap triangle again before the attack connects, if you just use evasion strike and double tap triangle, Kiryu will *always* recover fast enough to follow up with kick before the opponent recovers, either forcing them to reguard or get knocked back. While it isn't as fun, you can use the forward evasive strike -> kick combo to cheese literally every 1v1 in the game. You use the evasive strike, and one of several outcomes occurs: 1. They dodge it, you recover before they can retaliate and simply dodge away. 2. They eat the hit. Go again. 3. They try to attack and get interrupted, knocking them back either closer to the wall or into it getting a wall stun for a combo. 4. They block it, with the upgrade you break their guard and immediately follow up with a kick, either knocking back & potentially stunning them or breaking the re-guard. 5. They counter, only situation you lose, but even bosses with one don't use it often enough to make this a problem.

Lol I was hoping nobody brought up the guard break technique, CAUSE I DON'T FUKING UNDERSTAND IT. I found ways to play just fine without it and I don't wanna hear anything about it 😭😭 But if its just pressing square and triangle at the same time like you said.. well I'll be damned. I thought you just press square at a certain time that I couldn't figure out.
@YourCrazyDolphin
@YourCrazyDolphin 11 ай бұрын
@@GUNKSHOTT Just press triangle before the attack lands. It can be tough to time on rush attacks (and Kiryu will always follow them up since triangle is still an attack input), but with kick or evasive strike literally just double tap the button, you can just spam it if you want, it'll work every time.
@GUNKSHOTT
@GUNKSHOTT 11 ай бұрын
@@YourCrazyDolphin what about heavy guard breakers? For example you press ST (miss the square but triangle lands and breaks guard). Still press triangle twice? It makes no sense now when we're talking about it tbh
@YourCrazyDolphin
@YourCrazyDolphin 11 ай бұрын
@@GUNKSHOTT The ability works by pressing triangle just before Kiryu's attack hits, so yeah it works with the finishers too- if you intentionally miss an attack then spin around with triangle, tap it again before attack lands and it'll be a guard break if the AI tries to block. Same for basically every other attack Kiryu has. I just recommend using kicks or evasive strike for it because they don't combo into anything and they're fast so you can reliably pull off the technique just by spamming triangle. You won't accidentally throw out any attacks you don't mean to.

Yo man i really enjoy your content and here's hoping this enjoyment will prolong for a long time. Anyways i have to critize you about something, you really think about game's gameplay too much, yeah it is, of course gameplay is so important nobody is denying that it is the second part that makes these games truly beautiful and special in our very hearts. but when you talked about gaiden you seemed angry about the game's combat which is your absolute right to do so but i dont know how to put these into words, i feel like you reviewed the game based on your no damage experience rather than just average player (when it comes to making blind reviews, player should put experience over perfection imo) which is unfortunate because you mentioned you liked the game's story. and giving thumbs down, although pros you mentioned about the story, was unfortunate. No damage side of the games clouded your judgement imo i feel like you sought to perfection rather than smooth but flawed combat thank you, keep up the good work.

Glad you asked, unfortunately only combo variation 3 (Standing Stun Combo) works in Kiwami 2. It is actually much easier to do it there, as you can stun enemies with the charged square attack anytime you want, and a few other moves.

@@kizuma4269 Maybe one day, but K2 combos are pretty simple because the only thing you can do is combo variation 3 in this video. You can stun enemies by doing a charged square attack, running charged triangle or by stunning them with weapons. The stun time is much shorter so you gotta be quick to start the combo. You should check out my K2 boss playlist, you'll get it quickly.

The gameplay in this one just isnt satisfying at all. In Zero you had all these stances and especially the throws were good against the bigger guys. Why dont they make this more arcadey ? let us crowd control with throws and set up weak states in bosses with a clear set up. Instead its only these jank back attacks.

Bro says he's "pro" but when it comes to Gaiden where he can't cheese a boss into infinite combo, he's so mad he gives thumbs down and spreads shit ton of bullcrap of a review. Seriously, learning tricks to beat a boss into a pulp isn't what I call "being a pro". I managed to get through the Lost Judgment without knowing fun juggles, and really, I enjoyed it better without it. Where is the fun in using different combos, tactics, heat actions if all you do is spam the same combo again and again? I watched some of this video and it's all about of what I'm saying. Take for an example first fight with Nagumo. The "best" tactic is to stun him and quickstep on his back to make three-hit combo. Repeat. If somebody calls this fun, that's fine. Some people have this issue that they need to complete the game no-damage, by all means. Cool. But I wouldn't call that being a pro. Pro level is when you can use every combo, and use as many heat actions as possible in one fight. You need to memorize most of them, when you can use them, and on what enemies. In Lost Judgment the number of combos you can do is insane. Three fighting styles and some cool moves that activate in certain situations. I just don't get it, just as much as you can't get why Gaiden isn't really that bad lmao
@ianalicando3548
@ianalicando3548 11 ай бұрын
Gaiden combat really isn’t that bad, but it’s just that some questionable decisions the developers made for Gaiden made it look worse like the combo limit when they get hyperarmor after hitting bosses for 6 seconds just to recover so it breaks or cuts combos and juggles short and it won’t have a full room for experimentation unlike LJ or Kiwami 1. Yakuza style is sluggish again, a step down from what Yakuza Kiwami 2 fixed with his max combo speed being better, Kiryu missing some of his tools like the parry from 6/K2, Yakuza style’s grab is useless since it’s Brawler style’s and it’s no longer for crowd control, finishing hold is tied to ex-heat instead of just normally using up heat for i-frames and crowd control, plus, enemies and bosses are faster than Kiryu which is a balance issue. Agent is cool but most people tend to use Yakuza style since it is more reliable and it feels worse to play due to huge endlag, moves not connecting as much, gadgets being niche (except for rocket boots, thats fun and goofy) but never the first option, and replacing the standard combo in heat mode cause it overlaps instead of being assigned to triangle like Judgement/LJ Crane and Tiger ex-heat. Gaiden has the curse of having to meet the expectation of LJ’s combat since it was the previous Dragon Engine brawler game before Gaiden and it was really great, fun, and polished whilst also having an easy to pick up but difficult to master type of combat due to its high skill ceiling that makes the player keep coming back. And being Kiryu’s last brawler game, Gaiden combat feels disappointing or underwhelming since the combat can get old fast. Alot of players are already modding Gaiden on pc just so it can feel or play better and having people mod the game’s combat first instead of fully playing the intended way really shows that you’ve made a flawed combat system especially if people want to change or mod the game so badly. Can’t fully blame the devs either because of the 6 month development time and it not being a full priority game but hopefully they learn from this game and fully flesh out the next brawler games with the LJ formula because it would be such a waste if other devs can’t utilize its full potential. Assuming RGG would still be making any

some child salty cause his favorite game got criticized in a logical way damn gaiden is a beat em up game, gaiden's combat was promoted as something to do combos in it. but let's see, any kind of combos be it juggles or ground combos (either back or front) will enrage boss/enemy meaning they gain hyperamor no matter what type of combo you pull off. this means they cant be relaunched, the 6 second window is too short to pull any new moves too. someone can argue this is due to balancing but since you love lost judgment this much in that game there's a damage cap in juggles, after a certain amount of hits the damage done decreases. now which one did it better? gaiden is an incomplete and has one of the most below the average brawler combats EVER. the main 2 styles reuse many moves from previous game (such as lost judgment's snake style for agent) so no innovation in that part as well. cry in yo bed son, cause you don't know what you talkin bout and go play kson hostess minigame for another 80 hours fanaticism at its finest, zero media literacy holy
