@@tired...414 lol I like how the developers basically said he'll always be around in some shape or form. Or "shadow" in this case.

They really liked killing off all the cool characters huh? Goda, Kashiwagi, Mine, Rikiya, all the way up to here. It really feels like they went OH SHIT in 7 when they realized that they had to find a way to bring them back somehow when they had to stop making games that're just about Kiryu. Thankfully he and a few others are gonna show up every now and again but God dude, it's just such a waste.

I don't mind the deaths of characters, but 7 was just ridiculous. Kashiwagi and Lau Ka Long being alive had me thinking wtf was RGG Studios thinking. They're not big plot points but they were compounded upon the other big story problems I had with the game.

@@SaiyanZ3 I'm okay with characters dying as long as it's impactful and ends their arc perfectly, like Goda succumbing to his wounds when he finally proved he was Kiryu's equal. Other deaths like Mine that are complete wastes of potential just annoyed the shit out of me, imagine Mine took Hamazaki's place in 4 and actually lived to the end and returned to become Daigo's Kashiwagi. Kashiwagi's return by itself honestly didn't bug me too much since it's a cool cameo and doesn't mean too much but then I think about how Rikiya got shot once with a fucking pistol and almost died instantly while he survived being shredded with a minigun and that's when I have a problem. Lau Ka Long's brains were painting the floor and the Snake Flower were basically dead in 6, him of all people returning weirded me out too. Like you said, it really did add onto a lot of the weird problems I had with 7's story. That's what happens when you write yourself into a corner.
