5:40 I don't think people quite realize how impressive this was on Ryuji's part. Kiryu's elbow smashed down at full force against Ryuji's fist. Any normal human would have at least 2 completely broken fingers, but Ryuji not only tanks the damage like its nothing, but he does the same attack again like he's saying "fucking try me, bitch! Your elbow will break long before my fist does!".; and Kiryu backs off. Fucking legendary.

Yakuza imo has a big problem witb backloading its good stuff. And the first time around it's fine as you marvel at the goofiness and the combat is so fun, but by Kiwami 2 I feel that it starts to get quite grindy and unfun. But I know that I always go away with the great moments in mind, it's just that...well...it's great, make no mistake. But only AFTER I finished it. And it's annoying. Ryuji, what an absolute unit. I thought of ever outcome if they both got out alive and teamed up some how, they both dropped the yakuza life, ran the orphanage together, etc. Imagine, you roll up on one dragon, and the golden dragon comes out to. Fuck me what a duo they would have been, but as a recent yakuza fan, lover of the series, I'm a-okay with seeing Ryuji go down like this. Such honor & respect for the two dragons. The soundtrack is absolutely beautiful. You know what needs to be done, and there is no escape for it. It's actually put some of my younger siblings to sleep while listing to it. (in a good way of course) And I love, even a Dragon has a soft spot for his family and close ones. I love yakuza. It is one of the best games, ever created.

Guys there is something you must understand about 'A scattered moment' the ost of this fight. Anyone who think the original was better, i can understand why, but it's not what they wanted to do( an upgrade) with this remake. They didn t want to upgrade song, they want to change the feeling behind (you how it's end but you have to do it) because in the remake, you know how exactly the fight will end, like kiryu said, 'this how it's has to be''. The original fits better in the orginal game because you thought our dragon kiryu was doomed, resigned and ready to die but for that, he needed to do ONE LAST THING, the settle is rivalary with Ryuji and this is why the instrument in this ost were minimalist. This is my opinion you are free to disagree I m sorry for my english is bad, i m french.

Justfinished kiwami 2 for the first time today. After having just watched kiryu say goodbye to kaoru, and ryuji being so nice to his sister while he lets her go despite having only known about her for a few minutes, i felt sad. Enough to tear up, but I was alright. I was preparing myself for the epic battle theme that would surely go alongside the final fight between the two dragons. Instead what I got was a somber piano that perfectly fits the tone of the fight. At this moment, neither of them believed that they’d get out alive. They were fighting purely to settle their score now, and with an immense amount of respect for each other. As a result, when the song first started during the dynamic intro at 5:16, i felt a giant wave of emotion hit me. That piano made me experience all sadness of the previous scenes all at once, and a tear rolled down my cheek while I continued to fight. Genuinely one of, if not my absolute favorite moment in any video game.

@@Kalgert no, he still is considered rival. A rival doesnt have to be an enemy, or a friend it's just anybody who can compete with them. Majima, Saejima, Nishiki(to an extent), and Mine could all be considered his rivals along with ryuji

I’ll admit, I almost never watched the cutscenes in yakuza games. But this one, the one against Ryuji, was the single one I actually watched. Ryuji is one of my favorite characters in all of yakuza.

I respected the living shit out of Ryuji Goda. He wasn't some power-hungry master villain, all he cared about was fighting Kiryu fair and square over the Dragon title.

Sayama being stuck right where she is, two of the men she loves the most in the world are about to fight each other to the death and she is powerless to stop it. The pain in that must be immense.

Best Yakuza boss. Just two men beating eachother off during a countdown in a tense and steamy fight with fantasy music in the background. What else appeals to the male fantasy than this?
@tonyc.04515 жыл бұрын
The general consensus is that the last fight with Ryuji Goda is a good one. I can see why. Here we have a muscle-bound Yakuza member who, like Kiryu, also has standards. Despite many hardships that he faced, he wanted to be number one fair and square. As an underdog myself, I respect that. The music also adds to the awesomeness and would more likely fit a hero than a villain thanks to the violin and the piano. I think that I said too much, but that's what happens when a boss fight gets emotional for so many reasons.

I really enjoy how much more honorable Ryuji became towards the end. Kiryu was even willing to fight to the death since he deemed Ryuji as someone who was deserving of going all out against. I miss this guy. Ryuji and Kiryu in the same game as protagonists would make one hell of a game… (no not dead souls)

Considering that Ryuji's fist doesn't break on Kiryu's Elbow, and that there's an Essence of Crushing: Wall, if Kiryu tried to pull that off on Ryuji, the wall will crack instead, referencing Hiroki Awano's wall punch in Y0.

5:16 Me: *expecting some brutal crescendo of epic music* Game: *hits me with this gem* I absolutely love it... I don’t know why it fits so well. Just two men ready to die for pride... we don’t need super epic music distracting us from this hell of a fight. Yakuza Kiwami 2 might be my favorite Yakuza up to date... it deals with pride, and Ryuji said it himself; “a real man oughta be a little stupid.”

It's a cool effect too, the slow motion of Kiryu and Ryuji swinging at each other before the percussion comes in. Not what I like to do in this fight but I totally get was he was going for.

What I think think though you should do is just fight normally but then after the first little Cutscene of the punching and shit you should do that Blue oura or whatever thing and just bash him. I saw someone's Playthrough. His name's JetMonkeyHDGaming and goddamn I loved it. He didn't block AT all. He played on Normal but it looked like he played on Legend by how much health he lost! He finished the fight with 1 HP left. You should watch that. Episode 38 btw I believe. You can see what's Majima Saga and what's ending.

For me literally finishing this last night as of writing this, this fight resonates with me in so many different tones. Kiryu is THE dragon, there is no second, there is no match. No matter how hard ryugi swung kiryu never even broke his demeanor. Kiryu is absolutely the dragon above all, everything rode on this fight for him, his home, his honor, the Tojo, everything. That’s why Kiryu won, because this fight was more than a title.
