Not particularly fast for this piece, and I don't hear any chirping. The tessitura is high for the sopranos, but I think the balance is good. The venue is not particularly friendly, and the space does not lend itself to antiphonal singing. Personally, I prefer less florid vocal production, but I don't get your comment about deeper breathing.

I 'm trying to determine why this first verse has to be so fast. Why is the second not conversant or at least antiphonal? At this point I think the breathing is shallow. Now the Lobet dem harrn a little fast, but also chirpy, some sopranos screaming. This tempo simply does not serve Bach, in my opinion.Perhaps DEEPER breathing would change the concept of the whole piece!

This is a very common tempo for the piece.
