Late answer ik but truthfully, mostly no. With thousands of applications for each year, and only a few officers, the admissions officer spend 4-5 minutes per application. Unless something insane is noted like ie: curing cancer. They wouldnt check your background much unless something suspicious puts them off later on. Matter of fact statistically speaking, most people lie to some extent or another either knowingly or unknowingly. People may lie about hours spent on an activity all the way up to completely making stuff up like being a founder of a company and making 20k monthly off of it.

Last June, according to the document, the YPD was called to the Asian American Cultural Center, where the suspect’s ex-boyfriend told officers that the suspect had threatened to kill him. The ex-boyfriend, who still attends Yale, had broken up with the suspect after discovering that he had lied to him about his age “and other issues relating to his identity,” the affidavit says. The suspect allegedly responded by threatening to kill himself, and the boyfriend took him to a New York City hospital. The suspect then allegedly threatened his ex-boyfriend, who filed a complaint with the YPD. He was then admitted to Yale-New Haven Hospital for psychiatric evaluation at the YPD’s request, according to the affidavit. The ex-boyfriend, who did not respond to numerous messages left on his cell phone seeking comment, tipped off Associate Dean of Yale College Rosalinda Garcia, the director of the Latino Cultural Center, about apparent inconsistencies related to the suspect’s identity, the affidavit says. That prompted an internal investigation that uncovered extensive discrepancies in his application to Yale

@zkcrisyee2 жыл бұрын
Hmm well that was intense. The problem I have with how the whole situation was handled is that the guy in question, who lied in his application, has a past of severe mental illness, suicidal ideation, probably a really low self esteem to go to the lengths of hiding his identity from so many people in his life, including his ex bf. Given the circumstances, it would be understandable for the Yale administration to rescind his application. However, to go as far as to legally try and destroy him, by enforcing charges on his person and working with the police to eventually put the guy in jail… That is not a good thing. For the amount of “talk” and “awareness” on mental health and mental illness these Ivy League administration shove down our asses, with countless emails expressing their oh so deep “concern for the mental well being of our student population” and “mental illness awareness day’! Make a donation today! We promise all proceed will go to a good cause!”… It is appalling how easily these obnoxiously rich administrative actors tend to dismiss everything they claim to stand for when it comes to their public image, and go off the rails into punishing people and leading personal crusades (both student insiders who do a simple mistake in social media, or even graduates who see their diplomas threatened if they dare endanger the “marketing value” of the “university brand” by doing mundane stuff) in the most unjust, cruel, psychopathic and violent ways possible. I’m not saying the dude should have been admitted, or even let walk free into campus or whatever, after the whole Psychiatric debacle and the suicidal ideation, threatening allegations against another student, etc. But to go as far as try to punish and eventually lead to the young, clearly mentally ill and having some punctual mental problem, guy to a probable imprisonment, judiciary record, publicly spreading his name and the story, and destroying all his chances of ever being accepted in another college or to lead normal employment for a while… Why is that necessary? What does that accomplish, other than mere “punishment for the sake of punishment”, “flagellation for the sake of flagellation”, “whipping someone who already has issues and is already lying unconscious on the ground”, “showing an example to others by public punishment in order to ignite control of student’s behaviour through fear”? Isn’t all that just inappropriate seeing the guy was already hospitalized in a psychiatric facility, was cooperating with police and healthcare professionals, and maybe had underlying issues going on? I’m not “justifying” his actions, chronic lying and impostor/forgeries are not something to take lightly nor should it be easily excused. But speaking of mental health… he might be bipolar and have had a manic episode. He might have had depression coupled to suicidal ideation and not cared in the slightest what the consequences of his actions would have been. It’s clear he was in a disordered mental state. Rescinding his application and taken the right measures to keep his ex bf and other students on campus safe, maybe even restricting presence on campus until he was cleared by the hospital and a psychiatrist or psychologist after a thorough evaluation, would have been the responsible, just and humane thing to do for Yale administrators. Here, as so often happens both in high administration of academia and high administration in the private sector (two sides of the same coin), they doubled down on “destroying” a person legally since they have the wealth, money and power to do so easily… as a means of “public execution” (metaphorically speaking) to “show the example”, and probably other psychopathic reasons. And now it’s probably justified through administrative jargon like: “We at Yale take these sort of criminal procedures very seriously. We will not tolerate (blablabla), we stand for fair values of justice, equity and solidarity (blablabla). We are applying strict procedures according to our code of honour, as we only desire extremely rich… I mean, extremely exceptional and privileged individuals between our halls, in order to keep a productive, proactive, safe and rich intellectual environment for all.” In other words: “we are ultra wealthy vultures who promote our campus as being a place of social advancement, open to all, inclusive, and mindful of prospective students’ mental health… we offer student services for those going through grief or a though time in their lives… SIKE! IF YOU EVER SO SLIGHTLY ENDANGER OUR MARKETING BRAND AS SUPER ELITE UNIVERSITY WITH PERFECT STUDENTS WHO NEVER HAVE THE SLIGHTEST PROBLEM AND PERFECT GPA… We will end you. We will sue your ass. We will destroy all your future career and academic opportunities. We will publicly humiliate your ass. We will cut your head and show it off to the world, as an example we are not to be messed up with. We will eat then eat your guts, tarnish your reputation, have NO MERCY, have no understanding of the situation… We will find you. We will kill your family. We will kill your infant daughter. Don’t mess with the Academic Mafia Kabal…. Unless you’re the young daughter of a billionaire who gave us a generous donation of 10 million dollars! In that case, you can infringe all rules you want, get drunk in class and still be chosen as #1 student for graduate applicants somehow, even with mediocre grades, easily get a Masters delivered to your name with no effort, oh and… a free small building to your name, eventually! We at Yale love our ultra rich progenitors.” They could have taken a better path of psychological justice, getting an expert involved to help solve the case, made concessions seeing someone hospitalized and cooperating… but no. Very high administration, extremely highly paid, in academia or in private hedge funds or corporations, doesn’t matter, is always… made up of a large % of psychopaths. Sadism and control through punishment and terror. Particularly widespread in graduate school, I can attest for that, and even worse in expensive Ivy leagues like Harvard or Yale.

We at Yale love our ultra rich progenitors.” They could have taken a better path of real justice and peaceful resolution of conflict, getting an expert in judiciary psychology involved to help evaluate the suspect and solve the case in the best way possible, made concessions seeing someone hospitalized and cooperating, kept all of this private and avoided a fuss and tarnishing of a young person’s name, person who could still be redeemed… truly stand up to their values of “equity”, “fraternity”, “justice”, “equality for everyone regardless of socieconomic background, ethnicity, gender, etc”, “we put an immense amount of importance into mental health among the youth if today in our publicity posters and paraphernalia”… but no. Very high administration, extremely highly paid, in academia or in private hedge funds or corporations, doesn’t matter, is always… made up of a large % of psychopaths. Sadism and control through punishment and terror is common occurrence. There is no care for students’ mental well being, nor concessions to be made, with bad grades or anything during a semester someone lost a parent or something… some administrators can be cruel as fuck, it is their job to be as cruel as possible, and get away with it. I’ve seen disgusting things. Particularly widespread in graduate school, I can attest for that, and even worse in expensive Ivy leagues like Harvard or Yale. Since in there, they run the whole place like a mafia mob, and cannot be held accountable for their actions since they have omnipotent power, unlike in other state colleges with more worker unions and student unions and teacher unions. The more you climb private pyramids, the more you will find them. Their stare is a cold one, and will give you shivers down your spine. They care about one thing, and one thing only: profits and market image. And anything or anyone endangering that gets easily culled.

I personally believe; "if you can rob a bank and get away with it, you deserve the money" -which is in part a belief of a greater whole- "fake it till you make it." Everyone scams: women with their makeup, sales agents in all facets, and even chefs tasting the cake before the big day... don't tell anyone your scam!

Bank money is insured isn’t it? But it’s still bad to rob a bank
@enragedgoop2 жыл бұрын
@@tribalturtle it's insured yeah I'm sure, but also is everyone else's deposit.. so you're really not hurting anyone.. in fact the insurance for a bank robbery is actually already included in your natural interest rates at a bank... you might be getting a bank confused with a credit union. Basically it you use a bank, the fines and fees that are included and calculated are already predispositioned for a bank robbery. So... as i said... if someone robs a bank and gets away with it.. they deserve that! It's not hurting you as a bank trustee... its only hurting the franchisee that invested in the banks ability to securely hold such documentation that you withheld such cash. Like I said prior... if you can rob a bank and get away with it, i think that person deserves said money... You're undervaluating the skills and work it takes to make such money viable for use...
