You read my mind! These are the two I’m considering.

I’m building a house that has a commercial kitchen space for entertaining along with a personal kitchen. I went with Miele for the commercial kitchen space and Gaggenau for the private kitchen space and the coffee maker was part of the reason why i went Gaggenau for the private kitchen space rather than keeping everything Miele hahaha

I am about to buy appliances for a new kitchen. the area is remote with no real local coffee shops. is it possible to do some kind of in depth review where the gaggenau gets tested by a barista, or someone who really knows coffee? there are literally zero actual reviews of the gaggenau 400 series machine anywhere. thanks

Is there an issue with a Wolf All Gas, Sub Zero Fridge, Miele Steam Oven, and Gaggenau coffee maker in the same kitchen? :)
@YaleAppliance15 ай бұрын
Not from a usability standpoint. Great stuff. However, they look completely different.
@jonathanposin46135 ай бұрын
@@Saki630 for what it’s worth, we have a Wolfe electric double wall oven new last year, a wolf six burner all gas range top new two years ago, a wolf warming drawer, a subzero, classic all refrigerator, a subzero fridge over freezer, and two Miele dishwashers. Our appliances are all stainless and all have classic handles. They look fine together.
@narrowistheway77Ай бұрын
@@jonathanposin4613wolf and subzero are designed to go together, the only part that might look off would be going with the Miele dishwashers rather than going with the Cove units that are designed to match the Wolf/Subzero appliances

I would like to see a more detailed video on the Miele built-in coffee machine. What’s the reliability and lifespan like?
@YaleAppliance15 ай бұрын
OK...its goo, but only if you maintain it properly
@jonathanposin46135 ай бұрын
@@mamoonrashid9945 our first Miele coffee system lasted probably 11 or 12 years. I think that its lifespan was shortened by a lack of maintenance in its first two years. The failure mode was the battery maintaining the memory on the computer board. We have had recently good success overall with Miele appliances. They are a bit fussy. But as long as you do the appropriate maintenance, they seem to be great. My wife is a real coffee fiend and loves the Millet system. It makes excellent coffee and also fancy drinks with milk. The current machines have three different beans containers so you can have a choice. Yes, very expensive, but it also depends on how many lattes you buy at a coffee shop.

I don’t see how Gaggenau manages to convince people to spend more than double the price of the Bosch (if going for non plumbed) when that’s basically all it is. A Bosch with a different front panel, same as the Thermador. Yet in Europe, they offer the new Bosch accent line and the equivalent Siemens machines, fully plumbed, for less money than we pay here in North America for what is 10 plus year old equipment. We got tired of waiting for product that will never be sold here it seems, and imported a Bosch Accent line coffee machine from Germany. Modern product, great features, fully plumbed AND less money than they are here, including the shipping!! Get with it BSH, bring the new product here!!

There is no standardized size for a built in coffee maker. If you need/want a new one- Cabinet redesign required

Please, I'd like your professional opinion on this. Jura Giga 10, coffee community says it produce the best superauto coffee, and it also does cold brew, and can grind and blend two beans separately and simultaneously. Which route would you take, a display kinda piece, or the best superauto coffee machine (for an extra 350 bucks you can get a container which keeps milk cool at 37 degrees and be plumbed to the coffee maker)? A 6000 dollar built-in coffee machine, or a 5000 dollar Jura?

Not familiar with that brand......sorry

i have a giga 6 and 10,000 cups on it. We love it and don't even have the cold brew feature. the two bean hoppers is great, but dont' expect great froth. it's does the job but I'm actually going to get one of these two machines next as i'm hoping they will improve with milk drinks. coffee quality is excellent. this is actually my 3rd jura in past 20+ years. this one has lasted much longer than the first two. the 10 looks pretty cool
@JosephBabcock-im8zcАй бұрын
The deciding factor might be how much counter space you have, Miele also makes standalone machines similar to the jura. Neither gives you the same control over grind size and brew settings as a high end grinder like a mahlkonig paired with a semiautomatic like a la marzocco linea mini, but those require a nontrivial learning curve

I love my coffee and have a great auto espresso/coffee maker which I felt was a luxurious splurge. The cost of these units are just plain ridiculous. These are less about a great cup of coffee and more about prestige ...."look everyone I can afford a 4 -8 thousand dollar cup of coffee"

ROI? $9 at Starbucks adds up.

Lol you are correct. That's why I stand by my 300 Moccamaster and my son loves his 30 pour over. Most people just want a good tasting cup of coffee.

Not everybody can afford everything in life. No one‘s telling you to spend $4000 on a coffee maker, but if you’re already there, you might as well buy the best one.

image all the money wasted on the millions of people that smoke cigarettes are the same ones telling people not to send $5K on a coffee machine that will last years. I have a Jura 6 and was so satisfying responding to my chain smoker friend who made fun of my fancy coffee machine until we added up what he wastes per year on cancer causing smoke sticks. even he was like "oh i guess you got me there". to each his own and if he enjoys his $5,000 cigarettes good for him.

I have a Miele built-in, plumbed. Biggest mistake and money pit of the entire build of this house. It's been broken more than it's worked the last 8 years. I hate it.
