I found a subzero a used bi42 sub zero being sold by a rich family looking to redo their kitchen. Paid 400 for the fridge and 700 for delivery. Absolutely the best decision ever. 1100 for a current model sub zero. I saved over 90%.

I've had the LG Counter depth Max for a year and a half, I have the most basic because I wanted the clean front. It has been great. Fit wasn't an issue because the kitchen designer designed for it. The two minor issues are I have one person in the house who cannot seem to close the freezer to save their life. So once a month I deal with the fridge getting too warm, things getting soft and refreezing. I've begged, I've cried, I've asked the adult child to make sure they close the freezer it still happens. I chalk that up to user incompetence. I also struggle to store anything tall anywhere but the door. Overall I'm very satisfied. I do wish I could buy different handles. All our other appliances have tube style handles, LG only has the bow style at this level. Their SKS has tube handles.

The LG can alert you via the app if the door is left open. As you said though, you still need the (adult?) child to actually close it still

Same here, my kitchenaid SXS from 2005 is still chugging along with no issues save for replacing the ice maker and having to send the discontinued control board next to the inverter off for rebuild to corecentric when the fan relay fails. The newer kitchenaids with the ice maker mounted on the door suffer from the wire in the door hinge breaking ruining the entire door and refrigerant leaks from the fresh food evaporator...trash design replaced one on the greatest.

We’ve had the LG Max for about a month now. Overall we like it, though it’s louder than our old Whirlpool and the filtered water isn’t chilled like our whirlpool was.

Do you still like your LG Max? I am about to order new appliances and number one on my list the Signature brand which is the same as your refrigerator...thanks in advance!

Love the videos -- thank you! Please consider one recommending refrigerators for smaller (older) kitchens (i.e., in the ballpark of 16-18 cu ft; 30 inch wide; 68 inch tall). With all the supersizing, these are a challenge to find from top, reliable manufacturers!

Are you sure Bosch still offers the Pro Handles? I can’t find this anywhere, we hate the modern handle and want the Pro Handles on the 800. Let us know if you have any insight where to get the Pro Handles for the Bosch B36CT80SNS

Anything with bottom freezer is a maintenance nightmare with the roller and track but on the flip side, no through the door ice dispenser.

i'm doing new construction. if i get an lg counter depth max and place it in the kitchen against a side wall, what should the wall length be so that i can still open the door. i mentioned this to my builder, and he is doing a 28" wall, but it sounds like it should be shorter to allow the doors to open. if so, what should the length be? 27" ?

How can i get some guidance from you because I lol'd when I went to a local appliance dealer (not Yale and not in your state) and had the worker give me a quote that was full of errors. After opening that 48" SubZero or the Fisker & Paykel large doors with the huge exposed hinges really made me feel great. Im thinking of waiting for Memorial Day sales to see if I can pick up a Wolf+Fridge+Bosch DW+ undercounter fridge/wine rack.

We moved into a home with a fancy (and expensive) smart hub Samsung fridge that was only about 3 years old and we have had nothing but NIGHTMARES with it. We had the predictable issues with the ice maker that all Samsung fridges of that era had with the in-refrigerator ice makers leading to class action suits against the company, which they did ultimately fix at no cost to us. Then the compressor went on it after only 1 year of living in the home, and I can confirm getting service on this fridge has been a massive issue. We finally were able to get someone out to repair it last winter at a $500 cost to us, and surprise surprise, it has been only 10 months and the compressor is failing again. I can't wait to get rid of this thing, which we have no choice but to do. I am terrified to make a bad choice when selecting a fridge after the nightmare we have had with this, but I will NEVER purchase a Samsung appliance of any kind after the issues we've had.

@@YaleAppliance1 Hey thanks for replying. If a counter depth refrigerator for 24” counters, then a required 2” behind the refrigerator, what’s the depth I should be looking for? Newest LG is 2” extended depth beyond my current LG 2017 model. Narrow entry to kitchen. Not sure where to look next.

Some supposedly counter depth are not really counter depth. Who can trust LG? To claim they are reliable now is hard to believe. There are still new lawsuits being filed, on the NextDoor app, I've seen more complaints about new LG and Samsung refrigerators than any other models.
@YaleAppliance14 ай бұрын
I hear ya....but in order to not drive yourself craze, way more Samsung and LG is sold than any other brand. You have to look at service percentages. We obsess over service because it costs so much. Then, the industry has a handling issue. delivery and warehousing cause some of the problem as well. I feel your pain, but your pain will be as bad if not worse with most of the other brands.
