I don't care if people don't respect him. In fact, I like him more if people disrespect him. The rap game in 2021 is a garbage trash bin of mumble rappers who haven't even completed high school. Who cares about their respect. Do you? That's pretty sad if that's the case. Why would I give a sht who "respects" him. That's such a random argument. I'm saying Tom MacDonald is a good rapper - he can weave words together in a rhyme scheme and tell a story. Regardless of who respects him, his ability is not shunned by what other people think. I wont check out more trash/ he can't hit any notes still he tries to sing in his hooks - those are meant to be melodic but they aint cuz like i said he doesn't hit any notes. Because if that it just sounds not good and not fitting most of the time. His messages are good in general but quite easy to predict most of the time. He's not digging really deep most of the time but just covering stereotypical themes. He does that often from a different perspective wich is fine - it's creative and there is nothing to be said against that, also he often tries to trigger certain types of people because a lot of his tracks cover cultural tabus wich in its own is like I said respectable anf quite genius but he doesn't go far enough with those ideas. Like I said he's only covering the surface and therefore what he says is often predictable. His technical skills are fine. He does use a variety of flows sometimes but for me personally its not impressive enough. He has potential in that regard but he really should work on his technique. He often relies on storytelling and then switches to a kind of chopping or another technical style of flow. Often that feels disconnected because he barely rhymes while "storytelling". He could make that work easy by increasing his technicality while doin that. That way listeners wouldn't feel disconnected and he would be able to show his skillset better and furthermore increase it with the practice he would gain. Uh yeah and His beat selection is also nothing special. All in alll: he's creative but not there yet to be called a good rapper. Im not saying he's as bad as mumblerap/trap - he certainly is way better BUT in the roam of lyrical/technical rappers he is one to feel unfinished and unguided - just not good at lot of the times.

As someone finally coming out from under 5 solid years of fighting my own depression and reflection this video and song hit really hard. In reactions though, I’d absolutely adore seeing what you think of “If I Was Black”. Anyone who doesn’t know if he’s real in what’s he’s saying, that’s the song to test it. I just feel that if he wasn’t, that song wouldn’t exist and it’s the one I think most people can use as a good gauge to approach his others. “Sober”, “Castles”, and “Helluvit” are the ones I’d follow up with if you ever wanted to. I’d love to hear your reactions on any of them. I appreciate open minds and that you don’t immediately just “Nope.”. ❤️❤️❤️ I don’t care if you never become a huge fan, I love the honest reactions. Also, “keep it one thou-wow” is officially my new favorite phrase. Please put that on a shirt. I’ll buy 3.

@@josharena512 Nah that depends. Yup from the technical standpoint it can be connsidered pretty cheap. But it's a comeback and referencing many changes during her life until she got there. I'd say how mouch you are already invested in Nova's character will ultimately determine your opinion of the song. If you can connect emotionally, it'll have a visceral hit and take you for a ride. If she doesn't have that personal hook for ya, then easy to dismiss as garbage as it's pretty okayish only without the emotional attachement. As a 2MO HOG newbie I'd say I get the appeal off the song, but try to stand more objective than a brainless fan. Def wouldn't recommend it to Stevie as he doesn't know her and very superficially invested in Tom so far. Hey You! would fall flat, waste of everyone's time.
