WE WANT MORE ABBA Where d'ya go man?
@dagmar.69542 жыл бұрын
I grew up with all the fabulous music from the 60's-80's. ABBA was one of my favorites. They had lots of hits & I owned many of their albums. I can't think of a bad song by them. Some of their best are "Gimme, Gimme, Gimme", "Thank You For The Music", "Does Your Mother Know?", "Super Trouper", "Money, Money, Money", "The Name Of The Game", "I Have A Dream", "Voulez-Vous", "Fernando", "Chiquitita", "Take A Chance On Me", "SOS", "Knowing Me, Knowing You", "Dancing Queen" etc. Nice to see that they are back together again recording after all these years.

I really can't say what's my favorite song of Abba. What I definitely know is that they are timeless and more than ever the music witch gives me still a nostalgic lovely touch as a warm hug long time before till now and till the end. I love this music, their voices and harmonies, lyrics and presence. Please listen to SOS, Eagle, Soldiers and more... Thanks for your your great presentation.

If you listen to Abba, you need to do Dancing Queen. Of course, Waterloo, Fernando, Chiquita, Take a Chance on Me, Knowing Me Knowing You, I Do I Do I Do I Do, and Voulez Vous were big hits, too. They were really big in the 70's. Great band.

I grew up in the 70’s when ABBA was at its peak turning out new hits almost every week. You’ve probably heard a lot of their songs and just didn’t know it! Their music is so popular it was turned into a stage musical titled, “Mamma Mia” and later a movie with an all-star cast...including Meryl Streep! A lot of their songs were also featured in the movie, “Muriels Wedding” and they also did “ABBA:The Movie” (musical/documentary)! They broke up in the 80’s (both couples divorced) but are now back making music today, and are all in their 70’s!!! Another rabbit hole of great music to dive into!

This was never even supposed to be a single. A music guru in Australia played the music video on his show and within days there were requests to the record company to release it. It took ABBA a few weeks to say 'ok'. It went to #1 immediately and then was released in other countries - like UK - to have similar success. ABBA always thanked the guru (Ian Meldrum) for his decision back then. And 50 years later it is an iconic song all over the world.

ABBAs songs are full of catchy and happy melodies; you get in such a good mood when you listen to ABBA. Their music pick you up when you are down or in a depression. Make you want to dance and celebrate being alive. The music is effortless, and yet so complex in all their different layers. In my opinion, Benny Andersson is one of the very best composers of our time. When you really and fully understand the text of ABBA songs, you will be amazed of the depth in the lyrics and the phenomenal insights in the challenges of being human. This ability allows us to easily identify with the lyrics. I do not know of any other group that can captivate me and enchant me like ABBA. Their music and lyrics are magical. Neither do I know of any other group that can evoke as many different and genuine emotions and feelings in me as ABBA do. This is a rare talent that ABBA have in abundance. I go as far as to say that this talent makes their music and lyrics a real healing on a very deep, unconscious level. So, in these very turbulent, chaotic and uncertain times, ABBA has a HUGE mission. Love from Lena

I'm so glad that You follow a reaction to ABBA with "Mamma Mía" "Mamma Mía" (1975) for me is the best pure pop If someone ask me for what is a pop song, i give them this video and this song "Mamma Mía" have all elements: catchy melodies, more hooks, beauty voices and harmonies, it's funny It's a great song Not in my Top 10, but is really an excellent pop song This is an iconic video for which in Australia they asked that "Mamma Mía" be released as a single They did it in 1975 and it was #1 in Australia for 10 weeks and ABBAmania woke up there When the single was released in England it had a slow but steady rise to #1 and from there toppling none other than 'Bohemian Rhapsody' by Queen in January 31, 1976 "Mamma Mia" together with their predecessor "S.O.S." are the two songs that gave ABBA its musical identity as a pop group With both songs began ABBA's great series of more than 20 worldwide hits for six consecutive years 1975/1981, included: Fernando Dancing Queen Knowing me knowing you Take a chance on me Chiquitita The winner takes it all Super Trouper From this list of hits I suggest continue with "S.O.S." (the single before Mamma Mía) Some reactors did it with Oficial vídeo, the last that I saw chose the TV presentation: kzbin.info/www/bejne/bmraXn9plq52oJY I hope to see you in another reaction to ABBA My best regards from Buenos Aires Argentina

To help expand your ear, I encourage you to give Tommy Emmanuel a listen. He is one of the finest, long standing, finger-style guitarists on the planet. Anything from his tour in Seoul South Korea 2009 is pure gold and "Mombasa" is one of my favorites.. But for a mind bending starter, I would suggest "Initiation" from "Live at Center Stage". Having grown up in Australia and being friends with many of the Aboriginal people, he captures the vibe of an Aboriginal ritual ceremony and dance.. No artificial sound devices employed save basic amp reverb and a bit of delay, everything else us simply Tommy being Tommy. Honestly, it is worth a listen. Reactions optional. Cheers.

First of all ... The ABBA songs are almost 50 years Old! Just Pause a Minute and think about that. ABBA-Björn wrote The fantastic Lyrics, both Happy and also Deep; ABBA-Benny Composed an almost Unbelievable variety of Timeless Emotional Music in all kinds of Styles with a Quality that has stood the Test of Time. Anyway:Here's Your ABBA Crash Course in pronouncing their most difficult Swedish names: Agnetha and Björn. Agnetha, the Blond, sings using her Tongue = "Tongnetha" = Angnetha = Agnetha. OK? Björn, with the Guitar, Earns money = BjEarns = Björn. OK? Benny and Anni-Frid are easier to pronounce I think. ABBA is pronounced with the Stress on the last "A". Like this: abbA´. OK? Good Luck! Yes, I'm Swedish - and I saw ABBA live 1975, just as their Rocket Career Took Off - and that Rocket will Never Ever Crash Land.

Hi I would really appreciate it if you would react to, From Here to Entity by The Fizz, formally known as Bucks Fizz The Fizz - From Here To Eternity (Official Video). Below is a little history of the group and singer. Bucks Fizz star Jay Aston has endured a hellish ordeal over the last few years. The singer, who rose to fame when the British band won the Eurovision Song Contest in 1981 with 'Making Your Mind Up', has suffered from her own agonising health battles. Jay was diagnosed with mouth cancer in June 2018, had a gruelling seven-hour operation to remove a section of her tongue and then had it rebuilt using part of her thigh. They recorder this track on the day Jay was diagnosed with cancer which make it very emotional. Jay has recovered and is still touring with the group they just played a sell out concert at the 02 arena in London 43 years after winning the Eurovision. Also please check out, The Fizz Live At The Water Rats They have a big catalogue of hits, let me know if you would like more suggestions from the fizz.
