Wondering how the 222 handles in a 3 foot rollers. Putting this in an inland lake called lake st Clair. While it’s not a Great Lake it’s not small. Square waves from every direction and boat traffic on weekends adds to the mix.

I would also recommend to consider the type of water you plan on boating in. Bigger boats deal with chop or rough water better then smaller boats. Comparing the my sx240 vs my friends 20ft prop boat, there’s a big difference in ride quality in the rough.

A big factor in deciding between these is their storage dimensions. What is the height of each with the tower collapsed? I’m wondering what size of garage will be needed for each boat.
@JetBoatPilot2 жыл бұрын
I believe you'll need a minimum of 10 feet with the 25 and 9 feet for the 22. In the past I believe some have been able to make the 21 footers fit into a 8 foot opening bit requires some extra work to get that low. Most garages don't have the requisite length to fit either unless you have a workshop.

They get about the same fuel Mileage as a traditional i/o, maybe a little better. Twin engine boat with 360 hp burns about 10 gph. Twin engine boat with 230 hp burns about 7.5 gph. The fuel hungry jet boats are the supercharged ones. Naturally aspirated are not that bad.

Life jackets are required to be readily accessible. Having them in a storage locker is not acceptable. Why don’t boat manufacturers accommodate this USCG requirement. How do you trim a Yamaha jet boat when there are waves for a better ride? Seems you need to run at a higher speed which makes for a rougher ride. .
