Yamaha 40 hp 2-stroke 1997 cold start after 8 months winter break

This is how the 25 year old outboard motor starts after 8 months of winter storage outdoors. No extra efforts were made, no battery charge, no storage oil in cylinders, also gasoline is the same as last summer.

Mine has been running great since 1993. I did buy new plugs once.

i have a quastion for this engine. It has warning buzzer ?? i have the same 40hp veto and when open the key , it not make check sound ! It is normal or fail buzzer?

Yes, it has a warning buzzer. First when you turn the key to on-position, it gives short beep. If the oil tank goes to very low, it buzzes loud and continuously.

For some reason this seem to start the engine faster than by longer starting attempts.
