Afternoon 😎 just wanted to say thanks & I really enjoy the channel. I scored a nice Honda Shadow VT-700 in the same type of deal because of the huge difference in compression between The jugs. My neighbor's dad had a Cape Horn 16 with that motor on it. We were running a small creek and his dad didn't know the water was full of cypress stumps. You guessed it- we hit a stump at about 25 mph. @ct17624 жыл бұрын
@@robbiehopper4121 sounds like your stator or kill wire is shorting to ground somewhere. check and clean all ground connections. take the carbs off and make sure they are both clean, paying special attention to the low speed passages. then do a link n synch according to the factory service manual . i've fixed these issues many times. the problem now is its harder and harder to find a good 2 stroke mechanic.

What most people don’t understand is that a transom rating is a safety rating mostly for speed. My 16’ has the same exact transom as my 18’. Both riveted hulls. The 16’ is rated at 75. The 18’ is rated at 115. Basically the same exact boats. One is just 2’ longer. I run a 115 on the 16’ and the transom doesn’t budge. Been running her hard for 11 years without a problem.
