If I look at every project as "historically significant", I'd get locked in place, afraid to fail. Regardless of how nice or special an item is, If I treat it as "broken junk".... I can get through things much more efficiently. When you work with electronics, sourcing discontinued parts is ALWAYS an adventure... and you get ready for it to not work.

Thank you. I'm hoping to have some more fun projects. Sometimes these units teach me something. The "I'll attempt to work on most anything" policy is what got me to this point.

Considering the condition this one arrived in, I was surprised at how much I like the sound of this one. MOST amps would have used an NPN/PNP pair, rather than 2 NPN's... The Standel amp from YEARS ago was like this.

Surprisingly, I have NOT dealt with noise complaints......... however I try and be very aware of what time it is when I turn up an amp.
