Thanks for this video. I ordered one and I didn’t plan ahead to get a rug before this gets delivered. Watching the video gives me more confidence that I can somehow add a rug underneath by myself.

Amazing! I’m such a weakling that I needed my son’s help to assemble the furniture style stand, triple pedal unit for my Yamaha p515 a “portable” piano. The GP 765 is a distant dream for me. Congratulations and thanks for posting.

I’m glad you got your son to help. I too have the Yamaha P-515 and ordered the stand as well. I’m a female in her 60s but was able to do it myself. I used some maneuvering tactics that helped. Just like Patrick in this video, using the bench, etc. I just LOVE my Yamaha P-515 and I hope you do too. I have future plans to get my dream Yamaha CLP-795G. Although when I do I’m hiring people to put it together. Just because I was able to put together the Yamaha P-515 with stand and pedals and then placed piano on stand all on my own does not mean I’m going to try with the 125 lb. Yamaha CLP-795G like Patrick did. I’m a 66 yr. old female and don’t want to press my luck.

@@patrickkelly2986 Hi Patrick, I still admire watching this video of you alone putting this Clavinova together. I ended up purchasing the CLP-695 since the CLP-795‘s are nowhere to be found and if they are there’s a backorder and wait time due to the pandemic. I’m happy though with the CLP-695 and the three piano mover guys put it together for me. I do have one question for you though. Do you happen to have a link to instructions on how to use the USB wireless UD-WL01 adapter with my CLP-695 so I could use my iPad and iPhone with my piano and use the Yamaha Smart Pianist app?

Juat recieved and set one if these up, it is super heavy! Getting it up 2 steps was tough, used a board as a ramp, but then it couid be slid through the house. I dont think we have a particularly wide door, pretty standard and it fits through fine. This video helped me plan thr setup, thanks!

@@patrickkelly2986 Hi Patrick, I am interested in the details of it's touch.. would you mind comparing the keyboard action it to either the N3(X), the Kawai Novis 10 or a real Grandpiano ? The specs say it has "synthetic ebony and ivory key tops", does it feel really much different than acryl key tops ? ..maybe even do a follow-up video about the touch+dynamics ;)

@@jorgwinter939 Hi Jörg, I haven't played the other electric grands in a while, but I can tell you that quite often while I'm playing I forget that this instrument doesn't have strings... a bad touch won't ever let you forget that. - I've got lots of experience on acoustic grands and uprights - the feel of acoustic instruments varies wildly with all the makes and models. - This instrument feels like you're sitting at a beautiful acoustic Grand. The touch, yes. as well as the sound. And the surface feel deserves the words ebony and ivory. It's not the acrylic plastic. - find one to put your mind at ease, but I highly recommend this instrument.

OMG! I was getting nervous around the time you put that third leg on! Congratulations!! We ordered our GLP795GP a little over a month ago, and our dealer still cannot give us a firm delivery date. Did you order yours on line or buy from a dealer, and how long did it take to get it? Thanks for posting this. The piano looks beautiful. You’ve reconfirmed that we made the right decision.😁

Thanks. I should have put the soft bench to support the body as i pulled it out of the crate. But it went well. I ordered it through a dealer in nyc. I was fortunate that he had one on its way from yamaha at the time. So i was able to get it as soon as it arrived. Mid January 2021.

Would you say it’s possible to push that ups a flight of stairs on its side? I have one coming in. Carpeted staircase, so I was wondering if it would be possible to push it up while it’s in the cardboard box. Fun video. Congrats on getting it put together solo

I would not suggest it. It’s heavy without the box and the box adds a noticeable amount. It’s not your expected electric piano weight. Think more along the lines of an acoustic. The piano alone is 300lbs. Good luck.

Before you try pushing it up the stairs, watch the Laurel and Hardy video of them destroying a grand by trying pretty much the same thing. If you do try it, please post the video of it crashing down the stairs and busting out your wall.

I’m sorry. I don’t have that info. Yamaha might somewhere on their website. Or the dealer might be able to measure one if they have it in stock.

My doorway opening is 35”. So you should check with the dealer. You may have to remove it from the box to get it through the doorway.

Doesn't your Yamaha dealer include delivery and setup, so why do you need to do it yourself?

The dealer offered assembly for a reasonable fee. I decided to do it myself. I didn’t need to. I’m like that with most everything.

Yes i often forget there really aren’t any strings. It feels and sounds exactly like an acoustic piano. Especially the yamaha and bosendorfer. But all the acoustic instruments are amazing. And i came from an older clavinova model. This is a huge improvement to those already good samples and modeling.
