Well it doesn't have string resonance.. which is cheap of Yamaha to do since they said this thing is geared towards the pianist

@@ItsThatJahncke2 And the CP88 doesn't appear to have escapement either. I don't understand their thought process on this unit. If they want it to be pure stage, then fine, but don't say it is for the pianist when it is missing things that have been around for years and actually appear on their lower units.

DigitalSpace it is certainly strange, I think that they might be positioning this to be slightly geared towards professional EDM producers/DJ’s as well as Synthesists. This is almost purely speculation on my part but it just seems to have that style and all the extras and the sound design functions seem geared towards those groups. Personally I’m a synth nerd and this thing is right up my alley. I don’t need all the high end digital piano functions but I do really need a solid piano/electric piano that has some extra professional functions that’s just a solid all around package that looks good and sounds great and feels great to play and this checks all the boxes

CP88 has progressive hammer, CP73 has non-progressive weighted.

Sounds amazing, but..... Those on/off switches for each section looks like an afterthought solved with a drill and an 50p switch from the local bestbuy. Same with the pitchbend and modulation "contacts". Hope it's only the prtotypes that looks like that.
