I have a Yamaha P 105 that does the same thing and it's really frustrating. The piano is fantastic other than this problem. It's well past warranty.

Many Yamaha users are currently experiencing keybed problems. A shame for Yamaha, as they have actually been producing keyboards for decades and have a lot of experience.

Ik have had the exact same situation as you. Clicky black note and it was still under warranty so sent it to the music shop who sent it to yamaha for repair. The eventually told me that it couldn’t be repaired ( I don’t understand how there is not 1 person that can open the piano an just change the keybed ). But they just refunded the money. Still doubting if I still want to stick to yamaha because correspondation with them is almost impossible and takes weeks and even months in my case. The sad thing is that for some reason the piano became more expensive so the money they gave me isn’t even enough to buy the same one. Shame

Unfortunately the quality of these keybeds has dropped a lot, especially the 73 or 76 variants. This applies not only to Yamaha but also to other manufacturers. This is also confirmed in many internet forums.

I have a Yamaha P-125 develop the same issue. In fact it is the E keys that dominate and one B key just like the video. I wonder if those keys are at the edge of a grouping.

I have Yamaha P-35 which has exactly the same problem. Tried to grease up the mechanisms with silicone grease. The noise gone, then played like 20 minutes and even more keys started to clunk. I thought it was the grease problem, becouse it was to thin, so i tried to regrease everything with little bit thicker grease. So i used white lithium grease, but after all exactly the same result as with silicone. The main difference, that fewer keys has a clunk than before, but still haven't fixed it completely. I'm starting to loose hope on this piano.

Bought Cp88 last month, keybed is amazing but while using my piano, I have noticed clicking sounds coming from the Mi (E) and Fa (F) keys in the 3rd octave, specifically after releasing the keys. This is annoying 😢

I own a CP88 but I have a similar but just lower noise with two consecutive white keys. I heard that some people just open it and re-attach something lose in them, but I cannot find how to open it. Do you know if there is a manual or link where I could check what are the screws needed to be opened? thanks a lot in advanced
