It's actually a very good module for triggering external samples over midi (toontrack, addictive drums, BFD etc etc). Works very well with the Yamaha triggers as well as pads for augmenting an acoustic kit, which is how I use mine.

had this kit for years,about the only kit I liked was the 70's kit,high hat sounded the most realistic. Beat the hell out of it,served me well,wound up giving it to a family that had a youngster wanting to learn drums but no $$ to buy him anything.

Thanks for the demo. I'm looking at buying this kit and your video was very helpful. Nice playing

no sure since i never use with this drums... but for a small set up i think i would check out the "fender passport" (150 or 250) to be easy to carry and possibly sound decent.

Thanks, man. You give a good idea of what the kit can do. I'm wondering about buying one - looks good.

Nice video. Do you know if this kit is compatible with mesh pads....like the Pintech or V-drum pads?

Thanks for this great review, very interesting. I've got just one question : is it possible ton upload some musics (like MP3 for instance) to play it? (sorry for my bad english but it's not my mothertongue...)

I've been using this drum since 2005, at the beginning was good but nowadays sometimes is annoying 'cause it has a lot of snare sounds but ugly sounds and I like a powerful snare sound, I made my own set but it's not the same like an acoustic set with more than 2 cymbals, at least I still have it haha

Is this the first generation DTxpress?

Nice review! Question: can you edit the volumes of the different pads? For example if the bass drums is too loud.
@gammaraider10 жыл бұрын
Yes, you can set the individual volume, instrument, note, reverb etc for each input channel.

What aux in cable do i need from the interface to the amp. I bought one used without that specific cable.
@caek26 жыл бұрын
I have these drums and with an amp you just need a 1/4" guitar cable here's a link to a good cheap one www.musiciansfriend.com/accessories/musicians-gear-standard-instrument-cable-tweed/j38986000001001?cntry=us&source=3WWMWXGP&gclid=Cj0KCQiAheXiBRD-ARIsAODSpWM3NwM6_2WrYfBUY0hUpcJhJbym3EISxt_Fmqgs0wz9y72XaZxC5m4aAg3nEALw_wcB

which you prefer to get this one or alesis kit?
@GuedesNY11 жыл бұрын
i prefer this to record in a computer software cause works good with midi and has good expansion for an extra midi device. (don't have usb, need to use midi) but the alesis in more modern and sounds more realistic out of the box. depends what u want the drum for.

If you're on a budget I would recommend this one here. I own one of these and it sounds great and gets pretty loud express.google.com/u/0/product/16096172640289935044_3761574670103861218_12145?gtim=CLnLxvS_0pb1kQEQ3qblsJjBp-u6ARjw7K8hIgNVU0QokMGd4wUw8V4&gclid=Cj0KCQiAheXiBRD-ARIsAODSpWNedBgZ3gpOEQZBx8ptHXrMXZ-GuLgC7TBhr6J-KH9B-CJbPiLJu2IaAs__EALw_wcB

i changed my mind i'll stick to my vintage drums. i thought if i bought electronic drums i could find variety of cool sounding drums but guess i was wrong
@christianmccollum10286 жыл бұрын
I have a vintage Gretsch set but no room to play at home. I play every Wednesday and Sunday on the set at church- a Roland tdk 11. I love it. Roland's V-drums seris stuff changed my opinion of electronic drum sets. Check it out. You may like them too. Just an idea.
