My favorite demo of this synth, it was uploaded by coltoncraft23 on Nov 10, 2008, his channel has been deleted after 2019, but Web Archive saved it from being forgotten, so here it is.

@@TheProdigyAccordion Cheers! This is by far the very first demo of this synth I've seen back in 2010 and fell in love instantly, still craving to buy one, so it is personally important for me to keep it and don't let it to become lost media.

Thank you for the reupload, i thought this video was lost forever! Still one of the best DX7 demo on YT imho, great patches! I've always found interesting the D50-ish sound at 3:35, pretty much identical to the D50 Soundtrack preset.

These particular patches ALL sound so familiar to me. I heard them on countless soundtracks. Especially whatever you played at 3:15 that patch was popular!

I am just the keeper of the reupload since it is personally important to me. All questions should be asked to coltoncraft23, but sadly his channel is lost and I have no idea how to contact him if he's still alive and fine. The only demos on his channel (that also survived in the WebArchive) were this one and the Yamaha SY-99 demo, I can re-upload it too. Since there are thousands of patches for DX7 created over time and carefully collected on the dedicated forums, the only option we have is to download all of them and browse through them until we find the desired ones.

Unfortunately, I am not the video originator (see description). However, I'm pretty sure it is one of the factory-programmed cartridges since the synth is difficult to program and most musicians are just keeping up with the factory presets, and you can look them up on public databases by searching something like ROM1A.SYX. Of course, this particular cartridge is not the ROM 1-A, but it's a hundreds of them over there. I can recommend starting from this archive: bobbyblues.recup.ch/yamaha_dx7/dx7_patches.html
