Yamaha Fazer 25 - Is It A Tourer? | MotorBeam

www.motorbeam.com tests the Yamaha Fazer 25 which is a full-faired version of the FZ25 but positioned as a tourer. However, the Yamaha Fazer 25 doesn't have anything extra over the FZ25 which makes it a touring motorcycle, other than a dual horn. The Yamaha Fazer 25 price is Rs. 10,000/- more than the FZ25 but is it worth spending that money in getting a bike which looks less attractive?
The Yamaha Fazer 25 doesn't have any direct competition but given the touring positioning, it rivals the Bajaj Dominar 400 and Royal Enfield Thunderbird 500. The Fazer 25 is available in two colours and uses the same underpinnings as the FZ25 but with a different front-end design although the headlight has been carried over.

Guys I own this and I am proud. Motor Beam, you are so wrong in the mirror point. I think you forgot that one can adjust the entire mirror assembly to front and back to suit your riding position. And you are riding it on reserve which will affect the bikes performance. My only disappointment is no 6th gear. Abs doesn't seem to be a big draw back. Breaks works well as this is not a racer. I love this machine and proud to own it.

I think this guy can only give good reviews about Bajaj Bikes. I don't know if he is paid by Bajaj or what? I have owned motorcycles from Bajaj, Caliber and then Pulsar, my father had a RE Bullet 350, we had Ambition 135 and I now own Fazer as well, actually I purchased it in 2011. Overall I can comfortably say that Fazer and Ambition are the best bikes I ever owned as they are trustworthy and very low on maintenance. I liked Pulsar for it's performance but it's build was not that good and engine and gear box wasn't smooth either. My vote would always go to Yamaha.

I test drove this bike today in my city... to be honest pricing is great .. on road 1,47,000 rs.. This is a great bike , butter smooth engine , extremely smooth gear shifts , awesome pick up .. yes mirror positioning seems imperfect.. heard fuel economy is around 37kmpl.. a 250cc engine with no power lag at all.. yes visor could have been slightly bigger to prevent air blow , but ya we can put one aftermarket big visors .. not an issue .. a budget tourer can only understand its true value .. great riding position as same as FZ -25 And Dominar 400... I have test driven Dominar .. sorry guys being a 400cc Dominar, there is lag in power delivery to b honest .. I am a Bajaj pulsar 180 DTSI owner looking for a quarter litre engine with great pickup and mileage

It's the best option in this price range. There is no vibration after first service. What's lacking is 1: Seats are uncomfortable and very stiff. 2 : Led lights aren't upto the mark. Otherwise the bike is best option. Even an R15 rider comes to compliment the looks .

What the shit man.... It looks like a big bike even while standing still... And the headlight looks killer when the bike is approaching towards the viewer... And about sound... Hahaha... Bro wash your ears... The sound is has so much base..... I love this bike.... Only missing part in a 6th gear... But the existing gearbox is tuned very well to ride at 35 kmph in top gear and yet has more than enough torque to pull from that speed effortlessly.... A simple yet awesome engine and bike
