I fall in ❤ as soon i look at it's LOOKS and DESIGNS.. Beefy, Muscular tank, Sharp and Sleek. I think FZ25 is the 1st 250cc engine bike in 250cc segments which entered the INDIAN MARKET... !!!! After that others Motorcycles companies starting to launch their 250cc Bikes... I ❤ love FZ25 exhaust sounds ( lil bit thumping bass sounds ). In my view.. it's exhaust sound is BEST EXHAUST in comparison to other 1 single cylinder motorcycles available in our INDIA.

This is pretty much a relevant bike for it's segment. Offers decent performance in terms of city riding and it can handle medium highway duties (6th gear would've helped alot). Having a big 700-1000cc bike in the garage...this bike can be one of the best second bikes with class leading fuel efficiency figures and decent performance...ABS would've sealed the deal though.

For those of you who are considering to buy the Fz 25, here are the cons from a user perspective. 1. Headlight is not that bright and its high beam throw is useless. 2. Mirrors vibrate after 6000 rpm so you can't see anything that's coming from the back. 3. Engine sound: There is a rattling sound from the engine when it heats up. It is very annoying as it can't be fixed.The heat is manageable and not that much even though its oil cooled. 4. Front suspension is too soft and always dives in, not confidence inspiring on corners or under hard braking but that can be fixed with 20w fork oil. 5. Mud guards are absolutely useless both the front and rear. Even the tyre hugger does not do it jobs and ends up splashing water. 6. Vibrations: There is some amount of vibrations on the handlebar and foot pegs. The motor isn't smooth but is torquey, good for city riding.

Thanks for sharing your experience. I have an opinion about point 4. If you are feeling the suspension to be too soft, may be your fork oil could be less than the suggested level. Or if its correct, you could have a little bit more to make the suspension hard. Cheers.

I own an FZ25 and talking about point 3, there is a way to reduce the rattling sound, just warm up the engine before you ride the bike, or ride the bike at 3000-4000 rpm for about 5-10 mins, and then you could rev up and trust me the noise is much lower.

Engine rattling sound when it heats up might be because of valve adjustment issues. Find a good mechanic and i guess it can be fixed.Also check your air/fuel ratio.

Looks like a fun little bike with some interesting features. Hard to believe a bike in this class actually has an oil cooler and the center stand is a nice touch. Just looking at the ergos I suspect it would fit my 6'1" frame much better than the R3. Shame we'll never see it offered here in the US, but if Kawasaki's Ninja 400 does well here this year I can always hope for an FZ400 at some point.

I think there's probably already too much competition in the segment over here already and Yamaha wouldn't want to undercut it's good R3 sales. The Ninja 400 is priced exactly the same as last year's Ninja 300 here. $4996 USD (336533 Rupiees). I hear it's a lot more expensive than that in India.

Strell macha.. Njn parayate.. Fz25 is a ? Refined, comfortable, efficient, friendly, cheaper and reliable alternative to KTM Duke200! And in that way its a solid Japanese product. Do note: even without a 6th gear, it does 100kmph in quite lower rpm compared to duke200.

Hi Strell, Fantastic video as everytime. Can you help me around to decide between Yamaha Fz25 2018 model and Duke 250 2018 model both non-abs. My first purpose is daily city commute to office with a round trip of around 60kms. What I saw with Fz25 is its quality. The bike is only used 1500 kms and the engine colour coating has already started to come off. On the other hand duke feels premium. The price difference is only 20k for me as I am going for used ones very less clocked. Please help me to decide.

Mn Reddy The upper beam always remains low no matter how you adjust. So you can imagine how the lower beam works. Lights aren't proper for speeds above 60kmph especially in highways. Even the Yamaha service guys can't fix it with tools.

For a rider, that's debatable. CBR is good for someone like me, who like sports riding. Otherwise fz. But pillion seat us much comfortable on cbr.
