I've assigned some of the screen shortcuts for the mic setting, voice effect, transpose and tempo , as those 2 last are not lighten buttons , it's better to have them on the screen when it's dark on stage. Yamaha didn't forget there's also a lot of blind keyboard players and buttons are more adapted to them... I love the fact that there's a group of assignables on the left and one other on the right as you can choose what hand to retire from the keys at a certain moment of the part. This machine is a beast, I think in 3 years from now I will learn something that I don't know or use yet on this keyboard. (just discover in your vid we can make a shortcut for fading out ! awesome ! ) , waiting for the pedal vid, as I'm normally a guitar player and I have a MIDI FCB1010 which give me unlimited power of assignement 🤣

Hi,lads, i have been watching your videos over the last couple of weeks, and they are just brilliant, as you give us players, (or novices) so much info, and i have learnt a great deal about my Genos2 already, which i haven’t been able to do, whilst watching other professional players, and technicians, or demonstrators. I am a great fan of your’s now, and you are on my subscribers lists. The one main thing that i need to know, is how to load scores into my Genos2. I would be most obliged, if you could put this into a video. Cheers, mick.s 85yrs old. 😇😇

You know one function I would like to see implemented is to use the pitch bend joystick to turn on the rotary speaker fast and slow. I know you can do this on Roland VR 09b it makes the joystick work like a Leslie switch.

Actually, the advantage of touch screen is that it makes it easier for the manufacturer, not necessarily the user. With buttons, each button has to be individually wired, whereas a touch screen has a wiring harness. This is now common in automobile manufacturing and (especially while driving) makes adjusting, say, the cabin temperature a bit more complicated, what with getting to the right screen where the temperature adjustment is. Touch screens look good and can, in certain situations, work well, but dedicated buttons, once you get used to them, are more direct. (Maybe not having to wire all those buttons keeps the price down...)

Direct accsess will take you any where on the keyboard

The big problem is that the assignable buttons change as soon as you load a new registration.

You can use the Freeze button to keep those Assignable Buttons from changing when moving through different registrations!
