Good morning Tiho. Your Video was very helpful regarding to my Genos 2 and Cubase 13. It works :-) Maybe you can give me instructions for my KORG PA5X. Because there are different Midi parameters in the midi area with other names or missing names as shown on my Genos 2. So i need a instruction, how to setup my KORG PA5X to work the same way as my genos 2. I hope you can support me. I like the style how you explain technical features!! It depends on how many options that software has for MIDI recording and Genos control with user scripts. Both Genos and Cubase are Yamaha related products.

The point you made about having each track respond to the project filter instead of an individual track filter was very useful. But I didn’t see any place in the video where you actually did something with the project filter. What sort of uses did you have in mind for the project filter?

You don't need to do Filter as in previous Cubase versions. You have the option to select P, which means that the Midi IN and MIDI out settings in the channel are already filtered. In Cubase 12, T was selected and then you did the FILTER settings. This is a new feature in Cubase 13 "T"

Hi Tiho--- I do not understand why you keep channel 1 for changing to say different style. Can you explain what you do here?? and why. Also i mirror imaged your settings and when in ON mode USB and have local on like your display i get double sound and have to disengage local on right 1,2 and 3

If you have Local Control ON on Genos, do not use Monitoring on Cubase, and if Monitoring on Cubase is turned on, then turn off Local Control on Genos

Channel 1 is used for MIDI GLOBAL messages and for Calling Style from Genos, which I will save together with the project. Whenever I open a Project, channel 1 will automatically call the Style I used in the project. Since I often use channel 1 to play and control the Genos with the Novation SL MK2, I reserved that channel for that type of communication.

@@Tiho2012 Hi Tiho I do not understand how this works . When you hide the Track for midi global messages , how is information saved with the tracks?? Does channel 1 have to be on record as the ones you want to record on. or is it the P for project which is on the track channel 1 that does it . I set up the same as in your video and all tracks play100% , but still have to have Local off when recording even with the monitor off. Most of all the final piece for me is how does the Global track save all the information? or how is it recorded? If i change style later for playing all parts and come back to midi on my recorded style is not remembered as i do not know how to do this straight from Genos to Cubse . The thing is when you show how to record it is great, but you hide the Sys ex track and for us with curiosity, information is not getting on to our Cubase tracks. I have tried all ways to emulate getting the style to be remembered for a start. If you record on the Genos it carries an information track with it and i do not understand why that cannot be sent as well when recording. Sorry for all of my confusion Tiho as i am going around in circles getting nowhere because of the lack of behind the door magic All the Best John

Hello and welcome. Can I record songs on Yamaha Genos, e.g. reaper, cekewalk or cubase? Can I select sounds on each track without using the style and multi pads? so is it possible to create a 16-track multi timbral for a song? Thank you in advance for your help. Yes, you can certainly make such a recording without any problems. You can have 16 MIDI tracks using MIDI recordings. To select sounds, you need to have an Event script/template for Cubase and then you can choose instruments on the Event through Cubase,

@@Tiho2012 Hello and welcome. I uploaded this genos patch to my cubase 13. Unfortunately, I can't quite cope with the configuration. Your trucks display style trucks, but not mine. I don't know if I still can't set it in Genos because there was a lot of overlapping and jamming during the recording. I noticed that you record the style into cubase. I want to record the song to Cubase and edit all 16 tracks in daw. I don't want to record in style. Is it possible? Regards. Witam serdecznie. Wgrałem ten patch genos do mojego cubase 13. Niestety nie mogę sobie do końca poradzić z konfiguracją. U ciebie na trakach wyświetlają się traki ze stylu, u mnie nie. Nie wiem czy w genosie jeszcze nie umiem ustawić bo bardzo się coś nakładało i zacinało podczas nagrania. Zauważyłem, że ty nagrywasz styl do cubase. ja chcę nagrywać song do cubase i edytować w daw wszystkie 16 traków. Nie chce nagrywać stylem. Czy jest to mozliwe? Pozdrawiam.
