Yamaha Grizzly CV Axle Replacement and UPGRADE!

In this video, we are replacing a rear CV axle on a 2010 Yamaha Grizzly 700. We Upgrading to a MONSTER AXLE, which has a much larger shaft, and much stronger joint.
They will fit Kodiak 450 & 700 as well as Grizzly 550 & 700 of various years.
Fits lift kits lift kits up to 4". 60mm of plunge (double the amount of plunge on OEM axles); 45° angle of operation

Are both rear axles interchangeable? I got one from the right side I haven't put on yet and the left side got shredded and I'm trying to put the right in the left. Will it work?

Yes, both rear axle shafts are the same and they are interchangeable.

This is my cousin's 4wheeler. He has since put it through some serious testing, and they have held up great. He's always very hard on his toys, and he's very happy with these compared to the stock set.

Do you have a part reference to the washer on the axle can't find it on the parts list

Hello! Unfortunately I cannot seem to locate it either... If I had to guess I would say that it comes on the axle and that is the only way to get it. I would give your local dealer a call, I'm sure they will have more info for you.

I contacted monster directly and they say it's not a part that comes with those axles. The spacer is for a different axle but should work on these axles. I just went through the same thing. The company responded very quickly and shipped the spacer same day

Did you need to grease the new axle at all before putting it back into the diff?

While that's not necessary, I don't believe it would hurt anything if you wanted to

I'm happy to report that after over 1 year of riding around and several weekend long atv trips, these axles are holding up perfectly!

So now, instead of the axel breaking, won't it just break the diff?

The idea is that the factory axle shafts are on the small side for how much power the quad has. Once they are upgraded, we're hoping that nothing at all breaks. And so far everything is holding up great!

@@kyleskreations1058 he’s right though. The diff would take a lot more of a beating. Can’t say much I just did my diff fluid change and found nothing in there
