Yamaha Guitars NTX1 Classical Guitar Review | Acoustic Electric, Nylon String Acoustic Guitar

I have one of these in the Natural finish. So far, so good. I don't try and get too technical and intricate with the details and specifics. Good to know and all, but I just practice and try and get good, and work with all the different sound capabilities that it has to offer. Finding my own way with an instrument is the best way to get to know it without short-changing myself with too much pickiness. I may get a more pure, simpler classical guitar at some point, then it will be good to have both to learn from. Thanks for the video and demonstration, James !

Just bought this guitar. Overall it is a well constructed guitar and feels good in your hands. My main complaint is that it needs to be plugged in or it will be way too quiet in most environments. Will be returning.

​@@RRCC.Yo la uso en un coro parroquial amplificada y en ocasiones la he usado sin conectarla y si se escucha, no es tan silenciosa como piensan, ciertamente no tiene el mismo volumen que la C40 pero no es mucha la diferencia

Certainly! You can absolutely use a nylon string guitar for worship music. Although having a steel string guitar is useful for songs that require it. Happy playing!

@@rabindradahal7418 HI! When you buy a Yamaha instrument you are always sure that the quality is excellent. I feel comfortable with the NTX1 and I also play it live with the group. Great Sustain and no unwanted vibrations. The preamp is very reliable. Attention! It is not a real classical guitar: the width of the neck is 48 mm, slightly convex and the action is that of an acoustic guitar. If you want a traditional classical guitar then you have to get the NCX1, but I don't know that model. A week ago I also bought an Ibanez FRH10N-NTF and I must say that this guitar also positively surprised me. Great price and excellent finishes.

Salutes! Three days since I have this guitar. The playing is to soft and I don't feel comfortable. I had cheaper classical guitars in which everything felt super nice for me. This one sounds great in all videos I watched. But, at my hands I feel it weird. Probably the tension of the strings? Any recommendation? Thanks.

Yo la uso con media tensión, pero me recomendaron ponerle alta tensión; posiblemente eso le dé más cuerpo al sonido, el sonido es agradable cuando recién tiene cuerdas nuevas. Posiblemente te sientas extraño debido a que el mástil es más angosto que el de las clásicas, esta es con mástil igual al de una acústica (cuerdas de acero)

Depende para que uso la necesitas; yo la uso en un coro parroquial y en algunas ocasiones la he tenido que usar sin amplificar aunque no tiene el mismo volumen como la C40... Si se logra apreciar. Claro que no tiene el mismo volumen puesto que es de una caja angosta y un poco más pequeña.

Is there a significant difference between NTX1 and NTX3 in terms of sound quality?

That i know, the ntx3 is supposed to have better Tone because it's built with different wood. I have only tried the ntx1and felt and sounded good. I tried both ntx1 and ncx1 and the second one has a lot more tone and warmth but the neck is a lot more thick. Not impossible to play but it a lot more comfortable to play on the ntx1 if you have an electrical guitar background. I hate all this. Why not build a full size guitar with the neck of the ntx1 ????
