How was your flow post addition? I have no flow at idle speed. I'm going to trim hose length and recheck. Fingers crossed.

Flow was the same. I have flow out the pisser at idle and when flushing.

I just purchased the 2021 252SD. I wonder why Yamaha doesn’t do this from factory. Do you think this would void warranty?

Nice boat! Sorry, but I have no idea if it would void your warranty. I would be willing to bet if you do it and then there is an overheating problem, that's what they will blame.

Is this needed for a single engine? Also is it the same process just 1 time?

It is not necessarily "needed" but it is helpful if your boat needs to be towed. With the valves you can be towed at higher speeds, but without only at idel speed. It's also helpful if you need to flush your engine while the boat is in the water. The process should be the same.

@@Channel-About-Nothing So of I don't have it I can only be towed at like 3mph right? But with it if I close the valve I can be towed faster? Any specific speed with the valve closed

They are brass, not copper. Shouldn't be a problem.

If the engines are hot, how hard will it be to close the values off?

It's not going to be exactly easy but not impossible either. I would just throw a beach towel on the engine.

I may add those valves to my engines at some point. You can make a long handle with a pickle fork end to reach them if there is room, and the engine doie doesn’t interfere.
