i have a 2001 ls 2000 i bought,and having trouble startings it,engines spin but will not start,im wondering if there a cutoff switch or a special procedure to start it,also can it start out of water or will that mess up the motor,thanks

Ihope you know it's bad for the engines when you start them with out water flowing through them

supposed to start and stop with no water. Please don't tell people to flood their engines with water.

Tim Donahue starting and stopping isn't the problem it's the cooling. Just about every boat engine uses water for cooling it. Try running a car engine that isn't air cooled without coolant. Sure they'll start but I wouldn't it for long
