Yep, and as a young keys player in the 80's, when the DX7 first came out....the crispness and fresh bright sounds resulted in a LOT of now classic analogs getting sold on the cheap.....@kickingmyselfinthebutt

I’m buying this for multiple reasons. Somewhat related to the DX family. The sounds. The way it looks. Fact that you can create your own synth sound with fmx. Fm engine like the Yamaha GS-1 and DX7 but more powerful. Got some pretty cool libraries like Jupiter-8,RD50 cs80 and others.

I just love yamaha keyboards especially for there piano sounds. I currently have 4 keyboards (casio WK3200, yamaha mx88 and yamaha mx61) yamaha modx8 will definitely be my next keyboard

I'm looking all over the net for a tutorial for the very first patch. I'd love to try and recreate something close on the reface DX. The closest I could do until now was a 4 operators stack with moderate levels of op 2 and 3 and massive level of 4 as the attack.

I think the DX7 sounds more pure, but at the same time these FM sounds are more complex.

​@@synthartist69 I really like the vibe of the MODX. The sounds, while definitely more complex, have that... alive twinkly shimmer? I can't describe it but the DX7s have it while my SY77, while great, seems to miss sometimes. As always, keep up the great content.

Hey Man, this are beautiful demos. Great video. Since the DX Chill has attracted most people's attention. Don't you think that will be a good idea to make an extended version of just the DX Chill demo? It will be amazing if you can do it up to 15 minutes.

What keyboard is the GS E. Piano originally from? Sounds like an FM Rhodes but not the typical DX bell EP. Also the very first one, FM Piano DA, where is that from? It has that extra synth built into the piano patch?

@@jcpuga I think it does a 16th note arpeggio of the chord you’re playing an octave higher but I would have to actually try it to know. Absolutely love that sound!

Bonjour j'ai écouté attentivement toutes les vidéos du modx et j'ai rechercher les sound du montage ! Pour moi le modx est plus riche en sound ! Quand je compare votre vidéo de guitare effet ou électrique avec celle trouver du montage on est bien au dessus du montage! Et ils disent que le modx est un montage pour les pauvres ! En plus 3 ou 4 les sépare! En 4 ans dans le milieux des synthé il s'en passe des choses ! C'est mon ressenti ! Apres beaucoup de recherche sur you tube concernant le montage ! Si vous avez plus d'explication concernant la comparaison des deux je suis preneur et je me suis abonné à votre chaine merci pour ce travaille , moi je refait des cover de musique de filme donc j'ai besoin de beaucoup de synthé !

Turn the mod knob. The flashing light. Most times it will drastically change the tone/timbre quality
