Is there a way of setting the Montage a semitone down in global mode? i want to turn keyboard power on and off and it loads up a semitone down without me having to do it manually every time 🙄 my previous Motif ES and Fantom X8 has this, and so all my other keyboards.. I can’t believe you can’t do this on a flagship keyboard like a Yamaha 🥺😳

I was hoping for a HDMI output like on the Korg PA5X but there isn't one. A guy on KZbin showed an adapter to mirror the screen onto a monitor. Of course the touch control is on the screen only.

+TheGilounet - hahhahhhh - No - I speak 3 languages already...I'm good. I doubt their intent was for people to learn a new language. I know for a fact he speaks english and the folks buying these machines the market they're aiming for are mostly English speaking people all over the world.

Montage is $4,000 and MX88BK $1,000 (guitar center - www.guitarcenter.com/Yamaha/MX88BK-Music-Synthesizer.gc#productDetail). For a church I recommend the MX88 for your basic Piano, Organ, EP Piano, Strings, ect. It's capable of layering two sound together. You will have a lot of sounds like a Motif keyboard. If you are a Church that produce your own music and recordings then the Montage is your tool. Montage give your a wide range of sound that you can manipulate in real time with the super knob. You can have up to the limits of tabs/boxes for layering more sounds on top of each other and saving the sound you create.

If you want the very best I say Montage 8, It a real powerful keyboard that you can play for praise and worship and also alter call. Check out the "Live Set" Button and try a few samples.

Yo le pedirìa , que cuando muestre un teclado de cualquier modelo, tambièn muestre los equipos en los cuales està conectado , digo esto por que ahi suena muy lindo, sonidos nìtidos, pero cuando uno lo compra y lo tiene en sus manos, NO SUENA IGUAL, por que los equipos que uno usa, no son ni el 10% de los que usan ellos,simplemente por que, un mùsico no tiene los medios para equiparse de esa manera, asi es que lo muestre y lo toque en un equipo convecional, digo esto esto,x q tengo el Montage 6, y estoy decepcionado.

A touch screen computer will duplicate the screen. can I control it via computer screen.

That would require it to allow for mouse input. It does have a USB host input, but i think that might just be for usb sticks and such. Just ask yamaha. I had the question if i could control stuff with an external midi controller. They just called yamaha for me.

They will not answer your questions here, don't waste your time! Urghhhh - Yamaha it's 2016 change some of your ways, change can be a good thing sometime. Hopefully someone else knows how.

He is using a USB to HDMI adapter to connect the monitor. By the way, it took all of 5 minutes to find on Yamahasynth.com. Google is good at finding stuff out. www.yamahasynth.com/index.php?option=com_easydiscuss&view=post&id=8622&Itemid=851

jonyq Don't exaggerate, Yamaha has a forum online where you can find answers to questions about their gear. They also have tech support. But anyone with a computer will find the info via Google in under 5 minutes.

+Markus Arike yeah but where can you bypass all the fluff and find out exactly what it does that absolutely can not be found elsewhere? Everywhere I look it seems to be duplicatable by proper editing within a users current software and or hardware rigs, if they have spend a similar amount as its price range in the recent past. What's your stand? Is it useful for a Kronos user who also has Komplete 11 ultimate, Logic ProX, and Omnisphere 2? Would it only duplicate current capabilities or bring something new?

Unbelievable, one of the stupidest designs I've ever experienced. There's simply no easy way to adjust the tempo on this synth -- a knob or button, anything - just doesn't exist on the machine.
