I am a keyboard player and a big fan of Jamiroquai project during many years. I learned a lot by listening to the records and watching the live shows . I have always believed that the “Jamiroquai” keyboard sounds that were heard in the songs, it was the highest skill of the keyboard playing . And now your channel is a gift, because we can see how to get closer THAT mythical sound !

I love Yamaha, they may not produce classics in the traditional synth sense but there is just something very solid, musical and playable about them. Love it!
@BeastlyAnteater4 жыл бұрын
Your synth demos are top notch, it’s a pleasure to hear the full potential of these instruments at the hands of a talented musician. These are, literally (and I don’t use the word lightly), the only synth demos I’ve seen on KZbin where I thought “damn this riff belongs on a record!” Thank you for sharing ❤️

I would be lost experimenting with this instrument to the point of losing sleep... and my job. Beautiful keyboard with the quality build from Yamaha that's a given. Great demonstration! You're very talented and your love of the music you play is evident.

Nice playing, nice compositions, nice presentation, and really incredible job creating your own sounds. Definitely subscribed. I have a Montage 7 White coming on Wednesday...and this was such a great demo to check out. I am super exited; upgrading from a Motif ES! Thanks a lot Matt, love your music. Many moons ago friend had included a couple songs from Emergency on Planet Earth on a mix tape, and I fell in love with the music. I ordered Emergency on Planet Earth from my local record store on cassette. I don't think I had ever been so excited for an album to come, I think it took two weeks. It did not disappoint. So funny; nowadays I just speak music into my phone and it just plays. I think that waiting for that cassette made me appreciate it more. That album was such a wonderful experience for me.Thank you.

There was a British pop song in the last year or so which had a reggae vibe to it. I don't know the name.. some lyrics were ' .. I see right through yoou-oouu'. Bouncy bounce bounce. This is similar

Actually this song by Harvey Sutherland is pretty much a fleshed-out version of that little jam! kzbin.info/www/bejne/sGmxpqqniZZ4la8&ab_channel=HarveySutherland The similarity is actually quite uncanny haha

The Mini Filter is utterly spectacular. Impressive. Specially how driving its input interacts with the resonance. If Yamaha came up with an V.A. engine with this sort of quality, or implement the Mini filter in the filter section of the Montage/MODX... that would be a game changer
@joonglegamer98984 жыл бұрын
Best part yet, it's exactly the same synth, minus the White color - You can upgrade your "old" Montage to OS 3.0 - and get the Sequencer for free :)

Great video Matt. Serious talent. SampleBot is a game changer. I suggested a tool like this to Yamaha. It automates a time consuming process of getting a full sample library into one sound patch. I did this manually before and it’s a nightmare. I think it’s what sound engineers at Yamaha had access to in order to create all the patches. I own the ModX.

12:51 I don't know what being done there but I like it, To me it looks like a part can be sustain independently from another. 16:40 That gives me goosebumps and why does my body moves on its own.
@saulocisneros3 жыл бұрын
Same for 16:40!
@benjaryan3 жыл бұрын
I'd say for 12:51 that the patch on the RH side is a 'mono' sound, which means only 1 note can be played at a time. This means that even if the sustain is held down (for the other patch) you can still change notes in the RH without sustaining. It sounds really nice :)
