I only just bought my MOXF8 today, and I've been going through the manual pulling my hair out trying to find the instructions for changing the volumes for each layered part. I worked out how to change the volume on the left for both parts, but had no idea that you had to push both of the grey buttons simultaneously! I couldn't find that in the manual!! Thanks heaps buddy! You're a legend for sharing this info!

hi: very useful video. Would you please tell me what you think about the key bed of the moxf6? I have to choose between a mox8 and a moxf6 but I am a little concern about the key action in the moxf6. Some people say that the keyed are almost like a psr entry level keyboards like a ( toy ). Please if you can help me , tell me about your experience. thanks

@darknessanddistance44693 жыл бұрын
I bought a sustain pedal for my moxf8. Is there any special procedure to make it work for a piano sound besides plugging it in? My keyboard is used, I don't have the manual so I don't know anything about it and I can't find a video that tells me how. I mean, do I have to go somewhere on the screen and turn on the pedal or...?

My board doesn’t show the same screen when I hit the two buttons. It doesn’t allow me to control the layer volumes, but I can layer up to four and turn them on and off. What do I do?

thank you so much! i was crazy i didn´t know how to control each instruments volume! thanks man! but, how do you layer 4 instruments at the same time?
@mike-anthonyfields9 жыл бұрын
It's simple, you just tap "layer" and pick an instrument. You can do this up to 3 times to choose 3 extra instruments, which will total 4.

I have a MOX8 and when i push both buttons, nothing happens. I'm trying to figure out how to change the octave on layered voices independently. i hate this keyboard workstation because it is too complicated. All i want to do is compose music with different sounds but get too frustrated creatively because I've wasted half the day on trying to figure out how to make sounds work on this blasted board. :(

So my brother let me ask you something. I will be getting the MOXF8 next month. In your opinion does the MOXF8 have the same quality in terms of sound on the level of the Motif? Just curious since the MOXF8 uses the same sound engine as the Motif.
@boynhood9 жыл бұрын
Im with ya Brother I want to know the same thing im getting ready to get the MOXF6 but thought about the Motif 6 just the price difference i would love to have it
@adam32229 жыл бұрын
one bless man They have the same sound engine as the MOTIF. The MOXF8 is basically just a slimmed down version of the $3000 one. I have played both and I personally own the MOXF8, if you plan on taking the keyboard with you places, I'd probably recommend the MOXF8 since you get the same sounds as the MOTIF but you get it with half the weight. 32 lbs on the MOXF8 compared to 72 lbs on the MOTIF. You can obviously do a lot more with the MOTIF but honestly, you can still do a TON with the MOXF8. The MOTIF has a bit more mixing options, but the MOXF8 is the industry standard for musicians. They are both top notch keyboards.
@adam32229 жыл бұрын
Also, one more thing. Check out this video it talks a lot about the MOXF8 if you're thinking about getting one. watch?v=T8tQJDCYjlo

Ok DRoMusic I got it but it’s a little different setup . After adding the Layer on, press Enter to go to New Performance, and then on the top assign knobs, press the Tab to go down to Tone 3, but you can only use Knob 1, press the F2 Tab to open the VSTI Windows and then You must the up and down arrow to adjust the voice that you want t. Thanks Very Much Man this what I have been wanting to do.

Oh by the way, I can't understand why morons out there would give your video the thumbs down, when all you're doing is going out of your way to provide a very valuable tip, something that Yamaha failed to print in their book under the Layered Sounds section.

Also when you have saved the performance, you can hit the mute button and you can play piano and add in strings and other layers when needed.

Jade Pascual Hey, I don't know why but when I layer my sounds on my MOX8, save them with a new name in a location, (in my case USER1 H13) it's all good until I turn the keyboard off! It goes back to factory settings when I turn it back on again! The patch I overwrote is back and I lose my work! Is that normal?

How would anybody figure this out 🤦🏾♂️. I swear Yamaha and Roland be complicated for no reason.
